Oh My Goodness!

Yes Rusty - we could really do cyber town with that money! Tonight I'm feeling really giddy! Is that because I'm getting more oxygen or is it just because I'm happy because I'm not smoking! To paraphrase Scrooge, I'm as giddy as a school girl! Oh My Goodness!

I never thought about how much money I'd be saving! I'm almost tempted to put the money in a jar each day and watch it grow. The milage stats really put things into prespective! You have 1149 days smoke free days! WOW! I bow to you! That's amazing! Oh My Goodness!

Thanks Tresa! You are a pillar of strength my friend, you and your 2007 smoke free days! I can only hope that when I get up there where you are now that I can be as helpful to others. Giddy does feel good! I hope I'm giddy tomorrow too! How to beat a craving, with a twist...please add to this list

Hang on smokerella. You can get through this! I think our emotions are on a rollercoaster right now! The nicodemon is frustrated and trying with all his might to get you to smoke - that junkie thinking is trying to pierce through but you're strong! Take some deep breaths, think positive thoughts and face this demon head on! Say out loud - I can get through this because you can! Keep posting and let your feelings flow! Cry, scream, punch a pillow but don't smoke! I'm right beside you, my friend and we can get through this! Take a time out from everything, some self time. Go for a short walk, put your feelings down on paper or do something that makes you smile! You've come so far and I'm so proud of you! You are my hero for posting! I share what you're feeling and know that together we can get through this! Hang tough and don't smoke! You can do it! Still hangin in there

Congratulations on your wonderful 18 days! You are such a positive role model for your sons! Caring for your dear mother must be difficult for you. It's never easy to watch the ones we love suffer. You quitting must give your mother a sense of peace knowing that her daughter will not have to suffer the effects of smoking! You're doing great and I thank you for setting an example for me! Still hangin in there

Sorry Dasie, I meant you are a positive role model for your 2 daughters (not sons)! My mind is a little confused today. Always a First Time

Today I went into the store where I usually buy cigarettes. The owner out of habit picked up my brand of cigarettes and placed it on the counter. It was tempting but oh so wonderful to say, "Not today, I don't smoke anymore." He smiled and said, "Good for you." That was another first for me. I resisted! I didn't come home with a pack of cigarette. I came home with a big smile! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/3/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 150 Amount Saved: $54.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 11 Mins: 40 Seconds: 5

If You Aint Tryed It.

I thought that very thought when I was lurking. My mind kept saying, "There's no way you can stop smoking" but I took that first step and haven't regretted it since. As soon as you come into SSC you are embraced with so much support and encouragement. Today I'm proud to say that after 36 years of chain smoking, I'm 3 whole days thanks to people like Bear! You can do it too! I'm still here

One more try, your name serves you well, my friend and I love your "to do" list. Your new thought out plan looks like a winner to me! I'm definitely following your lead. Thank you for not giving up!
