Always a First Time

So many firsts here; airplane flights without the itchiness of wanting to get out to smoke, rushing through the terminal to smoke, hiding lighters, going back through security to catch a connecting flight. Instead, sitting back and relaxing, even sleeping going to concerts and being there to enjoy the whole thing having a nice dinner out without excusing myself to go smoke and, most recently; experiencing a sad situation without even a fleeting thought of smoking. Dealt with it with my big girl panties on ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 320 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 12,800 Amount Saved: $2,176.00 Life Gained: Days: 45 Hrs: 5 Mins: 14 Seconds: 26

Congrats, Kita. Both of those can be trigger situations, so good for you for being positive about them! Hi Everyone, I went to my (40th) class reunion smoke free. It was so nice not to worry about where you could go stand and smoke. The following weekend I went to my first wedding smoke free and again could just enjoy having a good time. Hey, everybody! My thread about skiing for the first time as a non-smoker, kelly's comment about her grandson, and goofy's first smoke-free Superbowl have me wondering about other firsts. I'd like to hear about a non-smoking first that you've either enjoyed and been thankful for, or one that you're looking forward to.
