Hi Merlin! I'm a newbie too and couldn't agree with you more. Just thinking about all the time we spent smoking. Well that's in the past. It's full speed ahead now! I look forward to travelling this journey with you! Welcome to SSC! :)

I have a few days under my belt and I'm still determined not to smoke.
I just hope that today will be just a little easier than yesterday which was pretty hard with the cravings.
I know we all experience quitting differently but was wondering how long do these intense feelings last? I'm not complaining because I understand that to heal I must go through these stages, I'm just wondering when to expect these feelings to fade.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Thank you bear!
You've eased my mind.
I think I can get through the next few weeks.
My poor family. They have to put up with my strange emotions.
I'll have to do something special for them after I get through the next few weeks. They deserve it! It would be nice if I could sleep but I suspect that will come in time. :)

Thank you for posting Sylvie - Very helpful!
One of the ways I cope with anger is to remove myself from the situation if possible. I take some self-time and collect my thoughts, go for a walk or spend time doing something I enjoy. That way I can channel my anger into something positive and relaxing. It usually works for me! :D

Here I am Tresa!
Boink, boink, boink! Yep, Im bouncin back and smiling again! Thanks for checking up on me! Its nice to know someones watchin out for me!
I did something spontaneous and, to some, a little bit nutty at 6:30 this morning. Hahaha
I went into the backyard where I usually went to smoke and took in the beautiful winter scene. It was so serene and quiet. For some reason I felt compelled to lay in the snow and make snow angels like I did as a kid! My goodness! What a sight to behold a 54 year old woman frolicking in the snow alone and laughing aloud! WOW! It felt so good! Hahaha! Smoking had never given me a lift like that!
Im feeling a lot better today. The cravings arent nearly as bad and I'm smiling the smoke free smile!
Smokerella and merlin
We, the 3 Smokeless Bandits will get through this! I have a big backyard and youre both welcome to join me in snow angel 101 classes! Im an expert now! Hahaha You two are doing great!
Daily Llama
I hear you, my friend and Im smiling! Thank you for being here and your vote of confidence!
bear
Thanks for bearing with me this morning. Lol! Youre a gem!
Sylvie
Thank you for your words of comfort! Its great having you here!
Changing Bless you for sharing your early memories and advice! Someday Im gonna make you all proud!
goofy - You da man!
What can I say except I love you all and I'm still smoke free!
:)

Stretching is good for those leg cramps but maybe you should have the doctor check it out to be safe!
