Hi adnamasiisamanda
You're not losing a friend - you're gaining a new cheering section!
I've got my pom-poms and I'm rootin' for you every step of the way!
Rah, rah, rah on your great decision to quit!
Tears seem to be common. I cried me a river until I realized that cigarettes weren't friends but control freaks. Now I'm smiling!
Tears are also cleansing/refreshing. Let them flow and away you go!
As you can see, my emotions are a wee bit on the high side today! Hehehe! Hey, just call me 'Giddy-Up" Susie!
Welcome to SSC! You can do it!

I've read your posts, Terry!
Just remember you're not alone. Continue to reach out!
As smokers, we used to push our feelings in the background by smoking. When we're sad, it's an automatic reflex to grab a smoke.
It's hard but so important to recognize how we're feeling and release those emotions - only then can we learn to deal with them in a positive light.
I'm new here and just learning myself but I'm here for you too!
Take good care!

Hi Ginette
I'm pretty new at quitting so I don't know if what I'm suggesting is right. It's only my opinion.
I think that during our early quit days we crave nicotine with physical and emotional withdrawal symptoms - those intense craves.
Maybe what you're experiencing is the re-surfacing of the old habit. You mentioned that you weren't really craving but felt the urge to buy a cigarette from someone. Could that be the dying stages of habit?
I'm so happy that you didn't act on those thoughts of smoking!
You can smile in knowing that you are still smoke free! :)
Good for you!
