Breakfast: 2 pieces toast/peanut butter glass milk Lunch 1 pc cheese toast with slice of tomato bottle water supper pc chicken baked potato w. sour cream mixed vegetables Snacks/other: bite of my sons caramel bar handful of Swedish Berries 4 sugar cookies 3 bottles water 3 cups tea Other than a lot of housework, and yard work, I did not get any exercise today. Tomorrow morning I have an appointment downtown, and will be doing a lot of walking to get there. I think it's time to throw out the swedish berries (they were on sale so I bought a few bags), and start an exercise routine. Hope your keeping cool there Lady. Have a great week everyone! CJ, Nicotine has a tendency of raising blood sugar. Now that you've quit, your blood sugar will drop. If you're craving sugar and worried about weight gain, try to choose wisely. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

I hope you don't mind me joining in here. I lost almost 15 lbs recently due to medication that I've been on for epilepsy. Now that I quit smoking, I may put that weight back on. Yesterday's menu: breakfast: Cornflakes (with lots of added sugar... never used to add sugar, seems like I'm craving sugar now that I don't smoke) 2 large glasses of milk Dinner: Cheeseburger (greasy, with lots of marble cheese, mayo, ketchup, tomato, on a sausage roll) 2 bottles of water Snacks: Chocolate Chip Cookies with whipped cream 2 lemon pastries handful of swedish berries 4 bottles of water 3 cups of tea Today I haven't had much of an appetite... the medication that I'm on helps with that. I've eaten a 1 egg and cheese omelette and a roll. 3 bottles of water 1 glass of milk 1 cup of tea My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 175 Amount Saved: $68.60 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 15 Mins: 43 Seconds: 53

Lady - may I please join. I am doing a lot of whining about the 15 lbs I have put on in two months, but doing nothing about it. I will just put what I have had today (with my head hung in shame). breakfast - coffee two graham crackers lunch - breaded chicken sandwich and fries I know I used the food at first to replace the cigs, but it has got to stop. I decided today this afternoon that I am back on a healthier diet as of now and came on here and found this post. AMAZING! I don't post over the weekend becuase we don't have computer access at the RV. I will post what I did over the weekend on Monday. I will also add my new "fat" picture to my posts to keep me honest... Start small with the exercise routine! Go for a walk and increase the minutes each week! You can also increase the pace. This is a great avoidance technique and can help maintain the weight. Always check with your doctor before starting any exercise plan and work with them to come up with a plan that is right for your body :) Walk that crave and chocolate cake off!
