Hi Red,
Apparently, texting is being used more than telephone and speech as in the past, because of speed and the need to compete in business.  Also, texting is cheaper than speaking on phone plans, so society is evolving that way.  Speech is sped up too, because of that cost.  Brevity and conciseness is good, I think.

I would do that, but my hands are so arthritic that it would make my carpal tunnel syndrome would increase, but I'd actually enjoy using texting, but I'm already almost ready for an operation to correct CTS.

I'm afraid we can't turn the clock back for others, and suffer the consequences of being isolated if we don't become part of the society as it is.  I'm isolated enough, and portable computing is very attractive.

I forgot to mention that there was another young store clerk that joined this conversation that we were having and she said that this is how her boy friend communication to her all the time and that it was very frustrating...I hope this is not our only way of communicating to each other in the future..Snippets, one liners, computer slang, and texting short messages to each other..I hope people don't forget how to really talk to each other.....

One liners, snippets...

This are easy ways to express yourself but I there is a lot more to the art of communication..Sometimes we need to hash things out and brain storm in order to understand ourselves, others and world around us...Real life is not always in nice little neat packages...
I was talking to a clerk in a store and we were talking about this very subject and how people seemed to losing there ability to communicate and that some people had reduced there language to a shorten version of speaking.
Her son now speaks in shorten online computer language like..lol, imo, etc. etc. She has to ask him to speak in real whole words and sentences when speaking to her..She was very concerned and so am I that we are loosing the ability to communicate to each other in this world..It is very difficult to have a meaningful conversations when the language has been shortened to One liners, Snippets and abbreviated computer slang...

Has anyone else noticed this? Do you think this has affected the our ability to have meaningful conversations and relationships?

This quote kind of reminds me of what the last two days have been like for me...Being assertive and fighting for what I want. Today is a new day and it is time to rest from my recent exposure.. This way I will be better able to handle whatever comes my way... Red....

If I could just find that spark inside of me...that pilot light seems to have been squelched so long ago, and hardly noticeable so I can't resume many of what  appear to me vital signs...to resume my equilibrium.

Yesterday I was able to do so much though

Quote of the Day:
You cannot always control what goes on outside. But you can always control what goes on inside.
- Wayne Dyer

When I recieved Wayne Dyer's book from a relative, "Pulling your own strings", I saw a suggestion that the personal growth journey was going to be a long one.  And it's been longer, and might never end.

I'll need a lot of help it seems, since whatever this is, is difficult to grapple with.

Sometimes I wonder if is deeper than what I think it is.
