Officialy day ten for this old Bear. The urge to smoke is subsiding nicely .I will continue using the patch if for no other reason for the dreams I,me having (I could get arrested for some of them lol)I still have a couple of triggers hanging on (after eating and the guy who rents the basement apt.who remains a smoker)These are the most difficult for me.But on the whole this is a very posative experience for me.My one fingered typing,& spelling skills have improved ???? lol and i,ve met some great people who have supported me on this journey. So for you new people who have started or are thinking about quitting hang in here you can,t go wrong!!!! Bear, We recommend that you follow the full course of treatment. Stopping the patches now would be abrupt and would most likely be followed by strong cravings. If you're having trouble remembering to put your patch on, try pairing it with a daily activity such as brushing your teeth. If you do decide that the patch is not for you, we strongly recommend you prepare for this step down by building up your repertoire of coping strategies for cravings. Good Bear! Keep up the good work today! Yeah, us addictive personalities have possible targets everywhere! My current addiction is sugarless gum (which is not without side effects by the way )! Hey - a new good addiction for you could be your birdwatching - I can't imagine that one being unhealthy! I dont know about you Bear, but I have one. And it is hard to stay away from things that may become an addiction. Just take it one day at a time and try to still have fun. Glad to hear you are behaving today. Hey Bear! I hope you are doing better today. I was worried about you after one of your posts yesterday - had a feeling you were going where you went, you could say. Anyway, you can beat both if you want to, but you have to really want to. I'm really glad you didn't smoke though :) That's a great step forward. Remember we are here and I have faith in you..
