Congratulations Bear....I need confetti or balloons to toss in the air. 30 Days! How awesome is that? And I really like how you are rewarding yourself. Danielle, NO, I really will not smoke them...won't even light one of them. I promise!!! I have accepted that I will never smoke again. I think I keep them to remind myself that. Today, they weren't even with me when I went to work. I wore a light jacket instead of the winter coat they were in yesterday & I didn't even think of them until now. No stressed out feeling like someone cut my umbilical cord, no panic attacks & not even 1 urge. So here goes... I got them out of the pocket, opened the packaged, held it in my fingers (feels comforting:blush:), took a big whiff of it...GAWD, it stinks & it makes my head spin. Put it in my mouth & took a drag....nothin'. Now they both are a little pile of tobacco & paper bits....in the trash :) I think I know the real reason that I was hanging on to them & it's going to sound so dumb. I hate wasting anything but especially money & those cigarettes cost me $8.22 for the pack. If I gave them to someone else who was out & wanted them, then it wouldn't be wasting. Sorry Bear, this is your special day & I kind of made it about me there for a minute. So to celebrate, let's all go dancing ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/2/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 18 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 465 Amount Saved: $145.98 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 23 Mins: 14 Seconds: 18

Thanks for the joke Pat. It reminds me of the time I was delivering lumber up to Mennonite Country.I had a choice I had to make. I could drive across a covered bridge which was restricted or drive around. The difference in time was about 1 hr. I choice the bridge. When I got to the other side I stopped the truck. .One of the local people came up to me and said "You should,nt have crossed that bridge you know" the best I could come up with was " I would,nt have but the river was in the in the way " ;p

Bear, CONGRATULATIONS!!! on your awesome 30 days of being smoke free. Had a really great joke :eg: picked out to reward you with, but settled for this one so the mods wouldn't have to work so hard today: A truck driver was driving along and passed a sign that said "low bridge ahead." Before he knew it, the bridge was right ahead of him and he got stuck under it. Cars were backed up for miles. Finally, a police car pulled up. The cop got out of his car. He walked around to the truck driver, put his hands on his hips and said, "Got stuck, huh?" The truck driver said, "No officer. I was delivering this bridge and ran out of gas!" Banana, Perhaps you need that stash because you haven't really accepted that you'll never smoke again. MomMom gave you some great advice. Give it a whirl! Bear, Congratulations on 30 days! Do you have a reward planned? Danielle _____________________ The SSC Support Team
