Calorie Count Diet

Windy, well done on those 12 pounds. Oh I SOOOOOOOooo want to be able to say I've lost that. I'm back on the porridge for breakfast and the fruit and all that, but cannot motivate myself back to the gym as was miserable after Friday's session and am sure that contributed to a weekend of over-eating. I might try swimming intsead. You're my inspiration Windy. Keep going lass! Missthing - is this a test to see if we're paying attention? 4643 calories today???????/ No WAY! I hope you had a blast. lol Windy - have a great weekend. I have been eating like it's going out of fashion - AND I DO NOT CARE! :) S My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/10/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 75 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,647 Amount Saved: 450 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 18 Mins: 42 Seconds: 53

Back at 169.5. Which is seriously weird. Last time I weighed, weight had gone up. Tried again a few days later and it had gone up even MORE. Got very gloomy and very hungry so had a week of having whatever I fancied and never looked near a gym! Hmm. I can only assume running up and down a set of step ladders with a steam stripper in my hand to get the wall paper off my daughter's walls plus the woodchip (eveil stuff) off her very high sloping ceiling, is somehow equal too or better than, going to the gym. Or maybe I just sweated it off in all that steam. Hey - if anybody wants to follow my new tip, and/or you're bored and wanting something practical to do, there's an entire house needing done up here! Missthing - sounds yummy. Were you shocked when you saw the calories? Missthing, I feel your pain. I have lost and gained the same 3 lbs for a month now. But....I'm not dedicated enough. I haven't exercised in a while, and I go out to dinner w/my family too much. I go completely off my diet 2 days a week. Do you think you may not be getting enough calories? What does the other site calculate for you? You do a lot of exercise, too. I bet your body is holding on to every calorie you take in. Just a thought. I agree w/Danielle about the juice fast. May just mess w/your metabolism. Oh, you poor thing! I've only had a reaction like that once, and it was not fun. I hope you've got a handle on it. Not tracking this weekend....even though I probably should be accountable. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday, and keeps those quits going strong. I'll be checking in soon, Andrea My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 198 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,975 Amount Saved: $940.5 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 17 Mins: 19 Seconds: 4

I'll be back too on January 2nd. My birthday is on New Years Eve, and my hubby's birthday is New Years Day. Lots of eating, drinking, and cake all weekend long. I won't log calories until Tuesday. I also use a website to calorie-count (same one as Missthing?), its god a pretty good list of foods, activities, etc. It gives me nutritional grades for each day, too. ' Everyone have a great weekend....Happy New Year! We'll go strong next week! Not counting this weekend. Had a Christmas party last nite, but was a good girl today. Tomorrow is another party, so I'm just gonna start again on monday. Yeah, most definitely avoid the flu! I haven't worked out in a week, if it makes you feel any better :) Andrea My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 192 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,858 Amount Saved: $912 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 5 Mins: 28 Seconds: 24

I know what you mean, Missthing. My hubby is still smoking, and I'm 6 months into my quit. I've decided not to bug him, and I do know that he's thinking about quitting himself. We are setting good examples, I hope they will eventually come around. So far this morning I had a ginger cookie...not off to a great start, huh? Been there done that Kait, I knocked my hubby off a chair once with a punch in the arm while company was visiting. He was shocked.....I was, too. It wasn't even my left hand. ;p Funny, I don't even remember now what he said to me....whatever it was he hasn't said it since! Kaiti, I don't have any wisdom for you, except I know how you feel. I don't quite recognize myself either. It took me over 5 months to even begin to address the issue. Your quit is your first priority, the rest will come into place. Once I started focusing on my eating habits, I didn't think so much about not having a cigarette. It made the quit easier. But I'm months ahead of you, so wait if you need to. Just don't look for a quick fix, there are none. Just be healthy. I say this after having had pizza with my daughter tonite. Yum! Tomorrow is another day. I refuse to be too hard on myself, because I'm still better than before I quit. Eat, drink and be merry for the holidays! What's another week!
