Just came in to celebrate that it is all down to a week.
WOOHOO
Yes "Penitent" I am so excited. Thanks for your undying and always so uplifting support. I have always stood by "Don't let them grind you down" I had no idea that you might speak Latin, how wonderful, antique and archaic of you. LOL
Looking forward to next week and celebrating. In the mean time its head to the grindstone and back down to the WORK of quitting.
I hope you all find what you are looking for here and i wish you all enormous success in your quit journey.
Peace - Love - Joy
Phillip

Hopefully the site will be able to get back to the business of Quitting Smoking.
Thanks to the mods for the work you do.

Thanks for this thread.
I will also add a tiny pinch of celebration. :)

WOW it certainly is a very dramatic day here at the SSC.
I really just came in to celebrate. I will have two years in exactly one week.
I am off now to work, thanks to Sparky I am very conscious of HALT. Smiling thanks to Rob47 and very conscious of my desire to change thanks to Penguin. I am also so totally aware of integrity. These few things will totally help get me through my day.
Also the good laugh that I am able to have at the Tresa quote about something like... put on your big girl panties and get on with it.. Sorry about the botch on the quote but I am left with a smile on my face as I go to work think about ... just getting on with it...
Let this be a place for people to help themselves to quitting smoking.
Cheers
Phillip

My goodness what an interesting and confusing response from Mr. Ed. Oh and by the way my name is spelled with two l's. Not the British way, but a mangled Canadian way... Thanks it is spelled Phillip.
My response back:
Mr Ed, my apologies for not being able to get here everyday. I am sorry that it might seem to you that I don't or haven't helped people in the truly magnificent manner that you have.
My experience with this site over the years has been that it can shift it's focus from quitting smoking depending on what is being brought into the threads by the quitters that are contributing. Take a look at the discussion about Melatonin and other other discussions about sports, particularly football, there was a time when things such as "Fairy Dust" were being bantered about. The great thing is these threads are either culled or the just simply disappear into the plethora of postings and the balance shifts back to QUITTING SMOKING and changing behaviours to find new ways to remove oneself from the clutch of addiction to nicotine.
Mr. Ed, I again apologize because I do not understand your last two sentences. I don't recall putting anyone down. If you would please review the threads that I have started and contributed to over the years. both on this version and the 5 point something or other versions of the Stop Smoking Centre. I have been more than willing to offer congratulations and celebration to many, many quitters over the years.
Again for a final time I do apologize for not being able to do what I do here to your standard and to your specification.
I will be off, back to work and keeping in mind all day my celebratory peace and piece of mind for having had the bountiful determination to quit and stay quit for some 723 days.
Peace OUT
Phillip ;)

Sorry the flag is such a trigger.
Oh and Rachel thanks for the response. I believe that is the first time you have noticed me in quit some time. Thanks for your most profound support.

Humour is what I will add in this fine moment.
I will also stew in joyful camaraderie, sometimes called: bonhomie.
