When I was about 2 weeks into my quit and I had a Dr. appointment , for prescription refill ,,out of the blue he asked about my smoking,,,What a feeling to say to your physician that you " Do not smoke ! " That is like an Award only one can give oneself.
My hobby is metal-detecting and yesterday I walked up a man-made skihill and down and up and crisscrossed down again searching for lost items,I then proceeded to drive to the mall to shop and purposely parked my vehicle between mall and Library to avoid making a short trip.
Once I arrived at the Library the first thing that came to mind was the fact that I just realized and felt that "extra lung capacity" , Which is another " Award ". I felt great inside honestly.
I wish I could say the absolute " I will never, ever smoke again"
However I have to accept my personal pledge that I 'hope' not to smoke again because the battle, how intense, will always be there .
To remain smokefree is an " Award "
To wake up and experience another wonderful day is our "reward"
Yep Life is Precious
