The patch is the route i've decided to take because I have a really hard time dealing with cravings. I'd love to hear about any of you that have used this method and how it helped you.....I know alot of this is in my head, and I'm the sort of person that is...succeptable to suggestion I guess. If I know that it has done certain things for people I am able to tell myself it's working for me too...does this make sense to anyone? lol The truth is, I'm scared to admit that I simply don't have enough will power to do it alone.

Thank you all so much for this, it really helps to know that I am not alone here! I'm reading, reading, and READING, and I'm trying to incorporate all of your suggestions. It's been alot harder than I expected (quitting), and I'm sooo glad to have all of you here.

LOL the nozzle thingy works because of the sucking motion I suppose - it's completely taken the place of smoking for me, but you still have the hand to mouth movement and sucking like you would have when smoking...lol

Actually, coming from the one who brought it to everyone here, the correct pronunciation IS nozzle thingy.....lol but call it whatever you want as long as it helps you quit!!!

LOL no biggie bear!! Wow, almost 2 months for you! Way to go! I am going on 2 weeks, and it seems like the cravings are still strong...what's helped you the most? Aside from the thingy...lol I think i'm going to stop using the patch, I feel like I've worked out for 24 hrs a day - my muscles hurt from it! (the patch)

I've been using the patch, and the arm nearest to the patch actually hurts, especially in the elbow and wrist, but the pain is throughout the muscle of my whole arm. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this. Day's 1-4 I had the patch on my upper arm and it started the first day, then put it on my chest and back, but it's still the same.
Well, I'm glad I'm not crazy then..lol It's not so severe that I have to take them off, but it's uncomfortable for a few hours! I did find out that increasing my intensity when I exercised last night helped, I'll have to keep that up...maybe it'll help me keep from gaining weight too....lol
I too am using the patch, although I did slip a few days ago (didn't have a craving by the way) and blamed it on the fight with hubby and reset my quit meter to help alleviate the sudden overwhelming guilt I felt looking at it!, but truthfully I simply didn't know how to handle stress! The only problem I have had with the patch was that it made the muscle in my arm hurt quite a bit, so instead of giving up I did what many suggested and put it on my....ummm......well you know, BUTT. It has worked great there, and there's plenty of room to keep from overlapping sites....lol I have thrown myself into a daily exercise routine, and LOTS of water. As much as I love coffee I had to stop drinking it because I had always associated it with smoking...lol
And what has helped the most is this site. Everyone is soooo supportive, and great motivators. I read as much as I can, because no matter what you are feeling or going through there is always someone here that has been there and understands! And post, although I haven't posted in a few days due to the fact that I am incredibly whinny right now....lol
Good luck!
