It's a very tough morning

Thanks for the advice. I just had major back surgery so I can only take short walks. But I am taking them. I'm kinda getting sick of water. ;p But I am drinking it. Good luck to you too. I'm glad to meet you. You must live somewhere cold also. I live in Illinois. Its cold here. Thanks for the kind words. I'm trying hard to stay strong. If I repeat myself its cause of all the drugs I'm on. LOL Stay strong friend Terri My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 8 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 360 Amount Saved: $96 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 22 Mins: 21 Seconds: 50

It's a very tough morning

Good morning Tutti. I just woke up and I want to smoke so bad!!! I worked on the pillows yesterday and then I was on the computer last night reading some posts. This morning my body hurts so bad that I can hardly move. Sometimes I am so tired of the pain and of the cravings that I just want to cave again. But I don't want to go through hell week again. But then again its looking like another hell week :8o: I just wish I could exercise or something to keep this body moving. I am gaining so much weight but I have been off my feet since the end of November. I'm going to need lots of help this week I'm sure. Thank you for keeping in touch with me. It sure helps knowing someone else is going through this with me. Lets stay strong together. Have a smoke free day Terri My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 8 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 379 Amount Saved: $96 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 23 Mins: 30 Seconds: 55

It's a very tough morning

Haha. I've been thinking alot about when I first started too. The girl who smoked with me was my best friend. We thought we were so cool. I lost her 5 years ago to an abusive husband. So I don't have her to holler at anymore. :( She lived in her own private hell. She always said smoking is what kept her sane. I think most of us have said that one time or another. I'm feeling alittle better today. My grandaughter came to visit me and she always makes me smile. She is 4 and she can't wait for my back to heal so I can chase her again. She told me I don't stink anymore. I thought that was funny. I never thought about how I must have smelled to her. Her mother doesn't smoke. So there was another reason to quit. I hope this gets easier soon. It is a big pain in the butt. I bet you really needed one after fighting with them on the phone. I hate calling them for anything. I'm trying to avoid the phone as much as possible. I'm cutting out some more pillows today but I'm going to rest instead of sewing. I over did it yesterday and I'm paying the price today. One hell week down! How many more to go? LOL Good luck and stay strong girl!! It's a very tough morning

Hi Rose. Thanks for the laugh. What a nice guy to do that for her!! Her nerves must have been really shot that day. Mine are shot today. Tonight is really hard for some reason. Maybe because I had a discussion with the hospital I just got out of. Or maybe its the weather. Or maybe its just me. :) I'm taking it one second at a time tonight. Good luck to you and everyone. Day 2 gone wrong

I understand totally!!! I did the same thing after a 20 day quit. It was like I just forgot that I didn't smoke. My husband lit up and thats all it took. I lit up and didn't even give it a second thought. I to was ashamed and beat myself up. But I just got back up and giving it another try. So far so good. I have had major surgery so theres not a whole lot I can do right now. I suck on lots of mints and I'm avoiding the phone and the car. Wish I could avoid my husband... ;p I wish he would quit. Sure would be easier on me. Good luck and just keep trying!

Hopeful is hopeful to quit soon

Hi Hopeful. I'm pretty new too. I'm working on one day at a time. Actually sometimes its one minute at a time. It's getting a little easier each day. Get ready for the craves! Read alot of the posts on here. It has helped me alot. Set that date and be prepared!! Good luck to you. Quitting Again !!!

Wow the longest I quit was 20 days and caved. You mean even after all that time you still want to smoke? Man that scares me. Hang tough if you made it once you can do it again. I'm finding it harder this time. But I'm trying real hard. Right now I can only suck on mints but they are helping. Good luck to you!

Im doing everything and im still gaining!

I too have put on weight. I had been down for 3 months with a bad back. So I walked gently and smoked and ate. Then I had the spinal fusion and quit smoking and eating. Then I caved and smoked and now I'm not smoking and try to eat small meals 3 or 4 times a day. I go back to the Dr. on march 8th and I am so hoping he will let me do some walking or something. Each day is a battle because I have nothing to do. Lucky the weather has been good here so I can at least take 4 to 5 15 minute walks outside. But I'm afraid I will get so fat that I will never get it off. I can't do any kind of exercises except for walking. I do need help today :( My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 195 Amount Saved: $48 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 9 Seconds: 45
