It's a very tough morning

Hi Tutti. I actually just got some "me" time. This kids are a hand full. They are all excited because school is out for 11 days. Wish I could be excited. ;p We have some plans to stay busy though. Yes I am having major cravings. I think its more like I feel like I should be doing something and then it dawns on me that I'm thinking about smoking. Isn't that weird? After all these years of smoking I'm not sure what to do with my hands. My nerves have been shot lately. Everyone around me has a sinus infection. Must be that time of the year. I found this interesting poster on a cigarette. Check it out...Never mind it won't let me post it. But it was pretty neat. Take my word for it. hahaha Glad to see our stats are getting stronger. Getting along with my husband is easier than quitting smoking. And trust me that really means alot. lol I think its real neat that Easter will be smoke free here. Hubby is still smoking but not near as much. He is smoking more outside now plus he is working midnights. So I don't have to smell it as much. I still can't get over how bad it smells...Its really nasty. Take care and lets stay strong forever!! :) :) :) :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 46 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,070 Amount Saved: $552 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 8 Mins: 14 Seconds: 16

It's a very tough morning

Hi to everyone. The doctor says I am fine. He has no clue why I am retaining fluids. I'm on a water pill now and feeling better. The Chantrix has helped alot. The cravings are down to hardly anything. Still pretty grouchy alot. Tutti---We were worried about you. Glad you're back. Has anyone else thought that all their food taste really salty now? Some food I can't stand now cause of the taste. Gotta go. Everybodys stats are looking really good. Terri :) :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 36 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,635 Amount Saved: $432 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 5 Mins: 18 Seconds: 41

It's a very tough morning

Hi guys!!! I am feeling so good tonight. I was really put to the test last night and I passed---barely. My daughter was jumped by a crazy girl right in front of her two kids. She called me to come there and I was a nervous wreck. All I could think of was a smoke until I got there and she was fine. I'm glad I fought that urge :) Tutti I am so glad you are back. We missed you. I'm not on much but I do try to read the posts. The water pills are working. The sun is shining. I'm happy for the moment. Who knows how I will feel in the next moment. hahahaha I see by meter I have saved lots of money. My question is "Where is that money"???? I don't seem to have extra yet. My husband has started the Chantrix but they have his pattern way different than mine. He stays on it for 3 weeks before he has to quit smoking. The doctor told him it might improve his chances of quitting if he slowly cut back and waited three weeks or so. Has anyone heard of this? Mine was different cause I had already quit. The Chantrix helped me after about 5 days... Nice stats Jan58. Very impressive. I know we are all going to make it. Love to you all Terri My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 37 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,665 Amount Saved: $444 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 7 Mins: 7 Seconds: 41

It's a very tough morning

Tigger I am the same way. If I chew gum or suck mints I seem to want one more. I haven't had much appetite but it seems I keep gaining weight. But then again I've been on my butt since November. I am walking more now that the weather is nicer. I wish I could work in the gardens. I have been making plans of how I want them this year. At least it keeps my mind busy. I'm so proud of all of us. This is very hard work. I hope hubby makes it. He has cut down a small amount so thats pretty good for him. But he sure stinks up the house. I can smell it when he smokes in the other room. Sure does stink. Its amazing how bad I smelled for all these years and never really knew it. Stay strong and good luck to all Terri My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 37 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,701 Amount Saved: $444 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 9 Mins: 26 Seconds: 0

It's a very tough morning

No need to worry. I have had my 4 year old grandaughter for the last two days. We have been shopping today. More for the walk than the shopping but she didn't know that. We were getting dressed to go and she hugged me and said my hair smelled good. I felt so proud. Actually I thought the hair spray was alittle strong ;p But I would rather smell like hairspray than smoke... How are you doing today? I have good days and bad days. You know I read a post where someone smoked and I was alittle jealous :gasp: Some days its just really hard isnt it? Stay strong. It's a very tough morning

Hi Bear You are probably right I should be more assertive. But I'm not. He does smoke outside sometimes. We are both trying to roll with the many changes that my quit have made. We smoked together for well over 30 years and thats a lot of habits to change. But we will get there either together or apart---hahahaha Thanks I will check out tai chi. Theres not a whole lot I can do for 4 more weeks. I can't risk hurting my back again. I'm not allowed to much of nothing :( Congrats on 10 days..Awesome. Mine is 40 and I'm very proud :) Tutti and Changing--Where are you guys???? Good luck to everyone.. It's a very tough morning

Thank you Danielle. I didn't want to toot my own horn cause every day I fear I may cave. My reward was yesterday. I took my grandaughter shopping at the mall and for the first time I didn't have to "rush" back to the car to grab a smoke. I got to dress her like a princess and the smile on her face was my reward. Rewards come in many different ways. Maybe on my 45th day I will have my hair highlighted :) Terri My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 40 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,834 Amount Saved: $480 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 17 Mins: 39 Seconds: 31

It's a very tough morning

LOL I am already blonde. I just go with different streaks of blonde. Maybe they are called low lights and highlights. I'm also letting it grow out too. I have always kept it short. I'm glad you mom is doing better..And I'm glad you didnt cave. That had to be alot of stress. My cravings are really strong tonight. I think because it rained all day and I'm stuck in the house. Hubby came home from work and said we were going to walmart. So I get my face made up and change clothes and he decides it might be to slippery for me outside  The grandkids are with their dad this weekend so I have alot of time on my hands. It feels good to have some me time. Stay strong. You're doing great. I'm waiting for an easy day to come along though. Maybe tomorrow?????
