Struggling really Badly

Hi Freemom! Hey, I can't say I am your type of (ex)smoker but my sister is. To her, and I think to you as well, cigarettes are nothing more than escape/me time. She associates it with time when nobody in the family knows where she is. She has escaped to her little island and has peace. So, think of it that way, and think of other ways that you could escape without lighting up, where you are alone and untouchable and at peace. Maybe the same places, but instead you read a poem or another chapter of a novel? Maybe I'm missing the mark, but you remind me of my sister. I think she could put down the cigs pretty easily if she didn't need the sanity time/space. Deserve to feel better by now

Glad to know I'm not alone Todash and Kiwi. And to all who read this: it is not my intent to be the bummer of this site. I'm never sick and usually full of energy but to be feeling this way for over a month is wearing me out. I wish you knew the healthy me (I promise when I get better I will still be here :) and reintroduce myself). Rainie - My eyes are fine. He says I'm just sick and have no energy and no strength to focus. Feel like a dufus but eyes are important and I have glaucoma in my family. Better to have peace of mind. Thanks Dutch. Maybe I should try a little positive attitude. It can't hurt. What does "Ready" to quit mean?

BTW, I'm assuming this little hand symbol is a "high five" and not a "stop" signal. Anyway, really what I got from all of you is what I forget to recognize and appreciate, and that is my STATS! That's a long time. The longest I ever quit before was 6 months. And it was different. I was slapping that patch on just waiting for it to enter my bloodstream. This Chantix involves no nic. What will happen when I finish the prescription remains to be seen. I'll stay very, very, very close! As previous posts encouraged, no matter what the catalyst to quit was, the main thing now is that I have quit for this long and that I protect it with all my life. I had a very real smoking dream last night and I lit up very easily. Fortunately it was a dream. In waking hours I know what I want and that is to continue down this path of freedom. I am pretty well in control of my exposure to triggers. In May I will go to a wedding with family that smokes, and we party pretty well together. Getting through THAT will certainly set off a parade, even if I have to start it myself. xxxooo Audrey My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/16/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 46 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 937 Amount Saved: $128.8 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 13 Mins: 26 Seconds: 16

What does "Ready" to quit mean?

Good answer Imallclear. You are smart... You saw me struggling in the first few days and dragged me to my first parade. Do you remember? "Meet me in the stats section" you said. It was like virtual reality to me (I don't do computer games). Really, you're right :8|: Audrey My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/16/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 48 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 975 Amount Saved: $134.4 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 17 Mins: 55 Seconds: 1
