Today is my Mom's 67th birthday and I called her and told her for the 1st time that I quit! She is in a nursing home and because of effects of diabetes she has lost her kidneys and her right leg. She has been on my case for years to quit. "Baby, you stink... but I still love ya" are the words I would hear everytime I would visit her. I am goin to see her on Saturday and this time I wont hear that and she told me today how proud of me she was.... I was on my lunch break at work when I called, good thing too cause I started to cry. Finally she's proud of me for quitting something ;)
How great it is to be a quitter!
Peace

Mommy,
Read that word again ...MOMMY! What other reason do you need to quit?
Remember the first time you heard that word out of the mouths of babes! That is the sweetest word a child could ever say. Of course later on it becomes Mom and when they are mad at you its MOTHER but what could sound better? I know its hard to quit, it sucks actually but you can do it. If you come back later use the same name, there is no humiliation in being human. We support you no matter what...your kids love you no matter what. The kids you care for love you no matter what...time for you to love you no matter what!
Hugs and good luck!
Peace

I just have to post..again...hehe!
Something that all should know about live2...he is in the military so the last few years have been hell for him. After coming back from Iraq (well even before) all the soldiers, commanders and majors on up have counted on him for alot. He is the only one who is full time in his unit that knows every job there and can do most of them at the same time. He gets tons laid on him and never complains to them about it. He is a good ..strike that.. he is a great soldier. In the movie we were soldiers Mel Gibson says something like... a soldier is only as good as he is as a man. Well Live2 is just that. He gets stressed out at work alot but with alot of support, not just from me cause I would love him either way. But support and guidance from others would help him alot. So if there are any ideas on helping him with his cravings or something else to do when stress hits him at work just kick him in the rear.. you have my permission hehe!
RAWK ON!
( I say RAWK ON cause Im from Kansas and the Jayhawk is out school mascot... RAWK CHALK JAYHAWK!)

Freedom
there were days that I didnt even think about a cigg when I got up then there were days that I did. Try to take time to stretch, take in the deep breaths then stretch again...remember to breath deeeeep! Those deep breaths are what gets me to work in the mornings
Try things out and see what happens but dont give up!

Im sure mine are mainly all in my head, next to the screw that is still a lil loose from smoking all these years. When I get in the car, it was my habit to light up, that is when its the worst! I think others do have the craving for the taste and some, including me too, are also the craving for things to taste the same as they did when I smoked.. like today my hubby and I ate at Arbys and everything tasted like %*%^$! I used to love Arbys, but now the taste buds are different (healed) so things taste differently.
