Lainey I missed this but congratulations on not only being smoke free but now being nicotine free ! That's great and I hope it is going well for you. As far as the other thing, my weight program isn't working to well. I sit in the recliner with a bowl of ice cream and watch my wife walk on the treadmill :)
I guess she is going to have to walk faster !

Welcome Angela and congratulations on your decision. Yes it is hard but it is the right decision. Work the program here and stay close by. Read and learn everything you can about nicotine addiction. Being prepared to deal with the craves and temptations is critical. So have a plan. Take things one minute, one hour, one day at a time. You can always talk yourself into waiting one more minute if you get the urge to smoke. Just string those minutes together one at a time and you will succeed. You can do this.

Alohakeia I am using Chantix and am only a few days ahead of you. I have been thinking about tapering to 1 mg a day the last few days of my prescription but not this soon. If your only motivation in doing this is money take a hard look before you do it. As smokers we would find a way to pay for cigarettes at the cost of something else, actually at the cost of almost anything else ! So you might want to to take the same approach here. Rewards are important but they don't have to cost anything. More importantly our greatest reward is staying smoke free.
I am guessing that during clinical trials and testing there were many variations on dosage, length of use, etc. and what we are being prescribed was the most effective for the most people, profit motives not withstanding :)
Just keep all this in mind.

Just guessing. We went to Ireland a few years back and I became a believer ! You can't find it on draught over here everywhere but enough places have it. I even do the cans that have the nitrogen chargers or whatever they are when I feel a real need. Not a bad way to spend 1328 Pounds !
