Staying Strong

Kayala you are so right...life is an ongoing series of challenges. Some are much tougher than others but smoking NEVER helped resolve any problem. It only creates them. Good job staying strong under pressure. Welcome Rose and congratulations on your 5 days. You are almost through "Hell Week". Hang in there one day at a time. I hope your blood pressure situation improves. As you no doubt know, not smoking will certainly help that situation and also as you know, smoking will exacerbate it. So keep up the good work we are all pulling for you. New guy

Welcome bear. It is never to late to quit ! You are here for a reason and being a 40+ years smoker, make that former smoker, one of the best reasons I can give you is that smoking controls your life and it's time to take back that control. I would recommend that you go to the section titled Cravings and Withdrawal Symptoms and read the post on 25 Great Everyday Reasons To Quit. It was posted about a year and half ago and It really puts things into perspective. You made the right choice. We are here to support you. Good Luck. HOW DO YA LIKE ME NOW???? It's My Turn

Congratulations to you and your husband ! I think one year may be the most significant milestone that we can achieve. Not that longer, like forever, isn't impressive and important but there is something about making that one year mark that is so significant. I only have 50 more weeks to go :), but seeing all of you that reach these milestones and reading about how you feel strengthens my resolve and confidence that I am going to win this challenge! So thank you for leading the way.
