Trust me, you're not alone. Today I had a salami snadwich for lunch and didn't think about a cigarette at all until I finished eating and then it hit me hard. :(
But I just try hard to distract myself.
btw. I have a persian cat that is the love of my life. His name is walter, he's a diva.
Good luck and please post pics of your new fur baby if you bring him home :)
Thanks, I respect your response :) Not that smoking persay was fun, maybe it was for me a little. But the activities I surrounded myself with were fun and were better when smoking a cigarette. Now it seems like going to a bar, hanging out with friends, having a glass of wine at home while watching a movie are not going to be as fun anymore. I understand, some day those activities will be fun again, but not for a long time. I find myself trying to go to bed as soon as the sun sets to avoid that void. :(
How are we suppose to have fun now that we quit smoking?
Does this worry or bother anyone?
Please no candy covered responses. I would really like to know how everyone feels about this. :)
You and I are going through the same exact thing. Especially after a nice evening hardy meal. It's like I almost forget I quit smoking then it hits me and I get really irritable. I'm doing the patch now for 3 days and I can still feel the taste of the nicotine in my tongue, sort of, if that makes any sense.
The best thing for me is to take a hot shower and get ready for bed. I usually take a sleep aid and try to fall asleep as soon as possible.
Reading and watching tv in bed helps me too until I nod off.
good luck windy :)
what does hitting the beach mean?
