I'm new and on my 1st day.

Hi everyone! I had to change my name because I couldn't get in. Today is my 3rd nicotine free day. Hubby is out of town for a few days so I could smoke w/o guilt but that would just set me back. It has been really hard to sleep and I still want to go out to the backyard to smoke, but I'm staying away from there and have no cigarettes around. Thanks for welcoming me! T. :)

The Times...They are a Changin'

I agree! It used to be that a smoker could still smoke in a bar but they're banning that too! T.

May Company - for all May quitters!

I'm T from Garland, TX and I'm on the road to recovery. I can't tell you how many times I've quit and started up again. I'm the only one who smoked in the house and I used it as a means of "getting away" from the insanity. Hahaha I am married and have a 2 yr. old son so smoking was always a good excuse to get me out of the house for a few minutes of alone time. In a few hours I will have 4 days under my belt. I'm looking forward to making friends here so post and tell me about yourself! I don't think Cold Turkey was the way to go

I have not slept in days and I don't think I can keep drinking water and eating the way I have. My mouth hurts from all the gum I've been chewing. WAAAAHHHH!!!!! :'( T. Smoking after 2 years

Glenda, BE CAREFUL! I quit on May 10, 2003 when I found out I was pregnant and New Years Eve 2005 I thought I could smoke just one. It was the same experience you had. Tasted awful, made me dizzy, gave me a headache, etc. I swore I would not smoke again. Fast forward to mid January 2006 . . . I had started smoking again and here I am now trying to quit, AGAIN. It's a very slippery slope. Be careful! T.
