Hi everybody,
It gives me some hope that I found you. i do not even remember the times that I tried to stop since last year. Many attemps, lasted too short.
I realize that one of the biggest problems is craving - which comes as a wave, as something completely strange from me, certainly strange from my decision - and still I go to act upon it.
The another problem is, that I have a very low blood-pressure, coffee and nicotine together were quite a good stimulants.
Any idea how can I raise my bloodpressure if I do not smoke??
I know it is different of the most smokers, but I find it very difficult to go around constantly in a kind of half-sleepy state of mind.
Thanks with any reaction.
Ron
you are heading to 30 days!!!!!
Have you already prepared your 1 month reward?
What would be the nicest treat for you?
Congragulations, Parola:)

Hi,
I am now more than 10 days free ... and I can function now a little bit, I am able to work again (I am a free-lancer, mostly working at home), I can go to a shop without wanting to buy cigis, or if it comes, I can resist it ... and also there parts of the day, when I am not thinking of smoking /not smoking.
Now I find it very difficult the encounters with people who smoke. there are some collegues and friends as well, and I am not in the position to avoid everyone - although I did this mostly the last days.
Today a friend came along, and asked for a coffee (I also stopped with drinking coffee) and he said, he would like to have a cg with his coffee outside.
I prepared the coffee (I wanted to say, I dont give you a coffee, because it is difficult for me. But it is not nice, is it?) Anyway I prepared it, gave it to him, I went outside with him, and it was extreemly difficult.
I smelt his smoke -
and it was a big temptation.
I was thinking on that even after he left ... more than an hour, and now I am here.
I realize I want a smoke if someone else is smoking more ...
but I have to live with that somehow - people smoking around me
How can I stay stable, and keep my quit??
Thanks, Parola

Hi Lady,
I am very early you see:)
Still what you telling now, is similar ( a bit:) to my experience, which gave me quite a shock.
I realized a few days ago or so, that not smoking is not only a conscious decision, but also a conscious act, every day, fresh, new. I am still at the level, that every morning, still in bed, I tell to myself, I am not smoking... sometimes also during the day...
It is also about much more than only the smoking itself.
You are almost a year, and you would like to have "automatic" that you are not smoking. (it is a nice wish:) we always hope for some easiness, isn't?)
Ok, probably your quit is not automatic every day, 24 hours,
but still, you definetly "own" your quit, no doubt.
Even by a sudden flash of like this - probably you own that even more - as it is made conscious once again.
Ps.
thanks for your posts, they are helping me a lot:)
Excuse me for my poor English, I am writing from Europe.

Hi everyone:)
I just wonder how is it with you? first days and first month quitters:)
I hope that everyone is still is stronger than nico-demon.
My last 3 days are already a little bit better, I feel a bit that I am human being again (or first?).
The first days I did not had a lot hunger, but it came today, specially for sweeties.:)
I am still forgetfull.
And the craving is still there - which I have control consciously constantly.
The question - do we need always this controll, or not smoking will be automatic some time?
I wish everyone a sunny weekend.

Hi Struggling,
You have not write since a few days.
Are you still here - not smoking, or are you in a relapse?
Of course it is a choice, I know it of myself.
I also experienced, many times before now, that I wanted to stop smoking , although not very honestly.
I was not ready. I learned from every failure of mine, all this helped me to understand my reasons of smoking. I realized, it is not simple a habit. This realization helped me - to stop now, finally.
Thus, wether are you suffering your cravings, or suffering your relapse, please try to understand the very reason of it - why, and what is exactly hitting you so hard?
quitting smoking is also a journey inward.

Hi
I did the same, keep forgetting, and not only that I do not smoke, but everything else.
Still there are moments, when I feel, I take a cg of my bag - and than I realize in my bag is no cg - etc.
it always takes a few seconds.
It is good, it reminds. It helps you to be consiuos, and not only act because of a routine.
It is difficult, but you can enjoy it as well.
Keep your quit.

Hello everyone,
somehow I survived the first week - and now is coming the second.
I know everyone has his/her own quitting, addiction - still, if it is possible - I would like to be prepared a bit.
What is waiting for me and the others?
the first week I barely did anything, I also have not seen many people. It was safer so.
Now my mind is not completely occupied by the idea of nic,
but I constantly forget things - is it "normal"? Anyone else experienced it?
Thanks for your grat
