Josie, thanks for your attention. It is very weird. Cutting back is going, meanwhile "imagine yourself as a non-smoker"- first I did realized I just did not had that kind of idea of myself. After that I did sit down again (in meditation), and found the reason that I smoke. it was like an brightening - at least I understand something - I hope this discovery makes now that I really will be in the position leave smoking behind. Hi Josie, thanks for your reply. I never had any problem with sleep, 8 hours are mostly not enough for me, and i always have more to do - thus I would be really happy with less sleep:) If smoking drains my energy - can it be that if I stop my BP can become also a little bit higher by itself?

Threads "How I Became Smoke Free" Parts 1-4

Hi Pyromade, your story certainly gave me a little hope-presently there are more problems that I could ever imagine. What happened to me. When people have an other idea of me - i know this is completly wrong now. What is willpower at all? How long is it going on that your mind is completly on smoking, even when you phisically not smoking? Is it going ever? Why is it better not to smoke, but constantly thinking of smoking? (I know, I just also do not know:) Is confusion ever goes? How can you develop some commitment, which is lasting? Parola

Hi oinkoink, thanks. Thus reducing smoke can make any sense? How long have you done it, before you stopped finally? I want to break my habit a bit, before I quit finally, but I am also a bit unpatient to wait. But this time I want to go for sure:) Can anyone tell, how can I reply individually? Thanks all for your support.

Hi,thanks for the encourangment, but I did not deserve yet. I am still smoking some (i could not make it to quit it once) - and I know this is a compromise. Now I would like to not to use more than 10 cigarettes a day and not to drink coffee. this breaks at least some of the routine. Any experience with this? Or this is not good to say? I know this makes it longer that you mind is on the question-smoking-or not- although I almost feel - only my addiction is smoking, not me:)

thanks Smokeless, if you could ask it. I just have the info that low BP is not a disease, it is ok, my doctor sais I can be happy not to worry etc, but still my BP is usually 100/60-70 in the afternoon, after coffees and cigarettes. I know this is probably not the most importantside of my addiction - but still it could help. In my experience in the past that was always the problem - this sleepy state. Or is it going over by itself? thanks.

Why ? Why is it hard to stop smoking? Why do you want to smoke another cigarette?

Hi for me behind my addiction lies as well a kind of neglection of myself (very hidden- no one sees it - and I also just discovered it recently:) Anyway - this is my first day - and already feeling that emptiness ... a very practical question... how long does it take? Days, weeks? Parola

The last one - new life

Hi, I smoked my last one this morning. I smoked more than 20 years, and it became a part of my life. I smoked in company, on my own, while working, between things, for pleasure and because of stress. Shortly: always. the last yearI recognized my addiction, I wanted stop, but very often I did not remember my decision after a couple of hours or a day. What can I do with this kind of forgetfullness? The last week I was cutting down to 10 cg a days, instead of a whole pack. That was already a constant concentration. I managed not to smoke outside of my home. This morning I had the feeling, I am on the edge - tired of counting - thus very easily could go back to the old scheme. I do not want that. I know it will be difficult - and I also know I will learn a lot about myself - and I have to accept my craving and my weakness. Accept and wait ... But knowing and doing is not the same in my case... How can you act on the basis of willpower - when you do not have it yet? The last 10 days I was also visiting this forum, and the presence of everyone gave me the courage to stop - You already helped me a lot - My main motivation actually is - that I do not want to spend any time any more thinking on nicotine. (shall i smoke or not - and when? this kind of very important questions:) I know the first days of quitting you are forced to think of it, even more - thanks for everyone.
