Hi Kiwi, and the others,
I am only in the second week, but it would be certainly helpful for me read more of your experience.
It really helps. Thanks, Parola

Hi, I am new here - and this is my second day of not smoking.
Of course I need your help... very hardly...
Is this kind of demotivation - doing nothing, is during long? How can I cope with it? Someone else also experienced similar to this - depressed due to quitting?

Hi,
Being stubborn - that helps - as Adam said. I have question about a previous note here.
If nicotine goes out in 3 days, than why we have to use nicotine patch?
I tried to quit before without patches - but I was not strong enough.
Now I am usin patches.
congrats for Adam with his 3 days!!!

Hello everyone, Today wa the first morning without a morning cg. the patches which i use, help - they take away some of the urge. The thought remains.
It is difficult to maintain daily activities - sometimes I just sit down - and wait that the idea is fading away...
It helped me already a lot to imagine myself as a not smoker - that y picture i try to keep alive - instead of a pure, craving creature:)
Thanks for the idea of the post-t:)
ok. I have to accept, I need help to remember - thus I repeat it in myself - "I am not smoking" - also when I have no craving.

Thanks Ronko,
breaking the habit - Ok. I find it difficult how to do it? I cannot really sit down - relaxing - and ... because that is the old habit. but I have no other method yet.
How to have little pleasures during the day ? Any idea? For me it could be a great help - if I could avoid being stressed. (no stress- the craving is definitely less for me.)
I find it difficult to find any "rewards" (except chokolats - but then you cannot eat enough of it:)
Phoenix -
keep tight -
instead of smoking you can do every time something (one the things which you have not done the last 30 years.) I do this as well (small steps though:) and even if I am not fully glad with which I have done - something is still done - and that makes me a little content:)

Ron,I have no idea yet how IM is working, but probably I will get some instructions.
I am also very emotional - crying - and a lot of stuff is coming up - hidden behind more than 20 years smoking, a friend said, that is the suffering of an addict - ok - but still - am I able to deal with it at all?
Here is it almost midnight - what time is it there?
take care, P

Ok - than is the question - that you stop - even if it is difficult - and that you do not hope for some easy path:)
thanks really.
for so far today is worth than yesterday - walking around and want to cry...
Alhoewel I also read some books on -"how easy stopping smoking can be" - for me is the greatest help the folk here - the knowledge that some people doing somewhere the same, and the guiding each other.
Thanks Ron:) - a personal attention is very welcome now.

Hi Lizzie, thanks for your advice. I certainly do not buy any cg-s, my earlier experience learned me that if I have something around me, I smoke it.
Concentrate on something else.... this seems to me impossible. Actually it looks like i do not have any brains to concentrate with it...:)
Thanks for your attention.
