Thanks JessieMarie - it means so much to have some encouragement!
The hardest time is when I get home from work...so this afternoon I will be using the tips that the center has suggested. I want to be
an Ash Kickin Knight!!!
So glad that you were able to get a good night's sleep...that makes all the difference in the world.
Together we can do this! This support group is awesome!

Hi
I just was on the other thread for the knights of the empty ashtry
and wanted to join the group. I quit yesterday. Can I join in?
It is going to be hard since my husband smokes (but we never smoked in the house thank goodness) but I am determined to do this!
Thanks

Can I join the Knights of the empty ashtray? I quit yesterday and
will really need the ongoing support. My husband smokes and I know
that it is really going to be really hard!
Thanks

Thanks Sheila - I know that it will be so much easier if I have
ya'll support! I will check in often and since this is my
second day I have to take it one day at a time. This is my quit
but I'm hoping that my husband can quit soon as well.
Thanks again!

ChickenStix -
Congrats on continuing on your path. I don't want to dwell on
the problems but a suggestion - have you asked your doctor for
some help? Like Wellbutrin? I have to say that this little pill
has helped me through the rough times - although it has only
been two weeks - I haven't lost my mind yet and my family thanks
my doctor every day!
Hang in there

JessieMarie - you sound sad - is there anything that we can help you with? Keep strong my friend. We are getting through this together.

Island Girl checking in and am smoke free as well. This weekend
went pretty well and even hung around my friends that smoke. They
wondered where I had been...I just couldn't be around the nicdemon but now feel much better and stronger. Thanks to everyone's support!

Cuddles -
Sounds like you need some hugs - {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}
My husband smokes too and it is very depressing to think that he
is slowly killing himself, knows this and continues to smoke.
I have been going through a very frustrating times with this. But
the perfect thing about it is that it has totally renewed my desire
and strength to continue on this fresh new way of life as a non-
smoker.
I have asked him to keep the cigs out of the house - this he has
done. But I have also asked him not to smoke on the porch - I have since learned from this website about 2nd hand smoke and nicotine in
pets. I love my animals very much and don't want him to smoke
around them as well. So slowly but surely I have moved him out to the
yard. I am hoping that one day he will realize how silly and futile
it all is and will just give it up. BUT I DO KNOW that one has to
want to quit more than they want to smoke and THAT is what I
am choosing to do.
You are choosing LIFE - and that life will be abundant! One with
fresh air, clean breath, beautiful smells, lung capacity and
most of all your health.
We love you here - you are always here to cheer anyone one on with
your wonderful illustrations and encouraging words. Thank you for
being here and being such a strong woman.

Hi Christine -
Want to hear something ironic? Right after I posted to you one of
my best friends called (actually she used to be my yoginee) and
put her two year old on the phone. She wanted her "auntie" to come
and do her kid yoga tape with her. So I went. It was a cute tape
from Mai Lana with all little children in the tape. We had a ball!
Actually worked up a sweat! So...hope you are finding some good
tapes - sometimes TJMaxx will have them at a good price.
Take Care
