Day 30 +++ something Coping

Hi Riverdale Man - Thanks for your thoughts today...I am having the 30+ days Blahs myself. Not that I want to smoke but feel like I am languishing in some inbetween state of being. I want to be grounded myself and the funny thing is I thought I was until I quit smoking! Is that the "faking it" faking out my brain? I love the "absolute simplicity" and am printing it out to put on my altar - the ultimate final end of living healty and long and creating joy - isn't that a wonderful goal for anyone's life? I'm adopting it for my own if you don't mind! Thanks again for your thoughts...I always come to your post for encouragment. Quit Smoking - Heres Why!

Kizzer - We'll all be praying for your doctor's appointment on Monday. It's a scary thing but know that you are not alone in this. Good news on your best friend. I have a friend who's mom is going through the exact same thing. She was told at first that her cancer was terminal and then it ended up in the lower lobe of her lungs and after two sessions of 6 weeks each of chemo the doctors say that her tumors are gone. They are going to do one more bout of chemo to make sure but she has received a new lease on life and a miracle. We will pray this for your friend as well. Relax this weekend - treat yourself! Gotta do it

Dear Determined to Quit - Congrats on your second day and for not detouring on the first day on your walk. If you can get out and walk that craving off it makes it much easier - just stay away from the Jiffy! (That's what we call the 7-11 on our island!) Just know that you will find your answers and support here on SSC. It has been a total blessing to me! There is always someone here and the Support Specialist really monitor it so if you need immediate help you can get it from them! It gets easier- then harder- then easier- then harder - then before you know it you will ask yourself why you didn't do this years ago! Just stay in touch here...this support is the best around - we all know what you are going through and are here to help!
