2tone, boy, you are making me nervous about next week.....that is my 2nd and I do remember the emotional wreck I was the last attempt at quitting. Not fun at all. :(
Have you considered personal counselling?
Karen.

Oh, I should apologize for my last post. I hope nobody thought it was too harsh.....it was meant in a nice way. I really am pleased that some teenagers are looking out for their health and seeing this addiction for what it really is. I sometimes get carried away with the angry thoughts. Sorry.

How great to see that young people are giving this a try. OK, I am a "young Person" too, at a very young 33 years. :) But for teenagers to take the initiative is very impressive. I always want to shout at a teenager, "What are you thinking???!! If you had any idea how much torture it is to quit, you would never start up in the first place! Don't be stupid and put that smoke out now! It's NOT cool."
I think reading a few of these posts should scare any teenager into quitting.

I agree, do not wear the patch at night. I too tried the patch once. And it gave me very bizarre dreams. In fact, I used to remove it at least an hour before bed to keep the dreams away. (sometimes they were nightmares and sometimes they were just plain crazy dreams!) I'm surprised you haven't experienced that yet.

Oh, how I can relate! I know a lot of us can. I don't know what to say except to remember, this is TEMPORARY. It will go away and you will go back to feeling "normal". Don't let it get the better of you. I would suggest you watch a feel-good, funny movie (if you want suggestions, that could be a whole other thread!) take a nap, read a book, go shopping, exercise, or just do something that you will enjoy. For me, during my depressed days, a movie and/or a nap worked well. Good luck.

First, let me say I hope your sister works through her problems. Second, good for you for getting through that without a smoke. I know it couldn't have been easy. That's something to be proud of.

Congratulations for getting this far. It's a great feeling! I know because I am on day 12, also cold-turkey. I have never felt better!

I can sleep all day and all night too! It's hard not to feel guilty about it though. I know it's only temporary....so, how long is this supposed to last?
