Thanks Redrosie. Since I teach elementary art, I like to stay current with the latest lingo. (Otherwise, you cant figure out what the kids are talking about.) One of my weirdest experiences was at a time that Id never heard of the Ninja Turtles. I was teaching my 5th graders about Michelangelo and Leonardo. Now, that was an odd discussion! Done Lost my Mind

Hi GPW, I just read your post. From reading what you wrote on the 7th and then the 8th, its pretty obvious youre on the rollercoaster. Im no doc, but my best friend is a psychologist, so Ive had built-in support during my quit. Go to the health food store, and tell the vitamin expert that youre looking for something for depression. Theyll probably recommend something similar to BeCalmd. As far as your lungs are concerned, no report will ever make me believe that cells that are no longer being filled with poisons are not healthier than those that are. We may not be able to repair all the damage weve caused over the years, but we can give it our best shot. I understand the anger and the depression youre going through. Most of us have asked ourselves how in h*** we could have continued smoking for so long. Its the addiction! While we smoked, we looked the other way when smoking info was discussed, never watched the anti-smoking commercials, and avoided conversations about quitting. Now that weve quit, we can finally see clearly what this terrible addiction has done to us. This new understanding is something we just have to learn to get past so that we can move on to our new smoke-free lives. Your husbands smoking is something I couldnt cope with easily. Dont think Id be very tolerant of someone smoking in my house after having worked so hard to quit. Some members have designated smoking areas in their house to deal with a spouse who smokes. Others have a totally outside only rule. Youll have to figure out what works best for you and work it out with your husband. Do not worry overmuch about your mindset at the moment. Duffis once wrote a post that mentioned having the mind of a rutabaga at the beginning of your quit. He was right. On day 50, youll feel much better, and on day 75, youll feel even better than that. Youre doing great. Not cravin', never cavin'. Afraid to fail?

I wonder how many wonderful ideas would have come to fruition without the fear of failure? Believe It Or Not

Hi Jason! What a wonderful post. Congratulations on your 4 months and also for your great positive attitude. "I am free, free, free....It makes me cry because I am so happy. You know you want to feel this way...so stay with it." Makes it all worth it, doesn't it? Not cravin', never cavin'. Monsters under the bed...................

LMAO Brent, I just finished reading Mercer Mayers There's a Nightmare in My Closet to 2 classes of kindergarten students, log on and find you talking about the monster under the bed! Great post! My monster was the huffing and puffing after minimal exertion. Its so nice to breathe with lungs that arent being suffocated every 30 minutes. Not cravin', never cavin'.
