Sobriety Gang (SoGa) - a support group for staying sober

Wow, Jojo, that's insightful. Everything you said sounded really familiar. Thanks for your "thinking out loud" on our patterns. I got a lot out of reading it.

It actually sounds like you are doing really well. Wine has a lot of sugar and I think that's part of the craving, on top of the alcohol. Maybe there's some way you can gradually ease over to foods that don't crash you so much. How are you feeling now?

I'm happy to be back on track again.

jojo, oy vey indeed. Still on track here despite stress, mostly good stress. Enjoying work and family. There's just so much! Looking forward to regroup time this weekend.

Laptop crashed Tuesday night. The way most people feel about their phones, that's how I am with my little laptop.

Teachers celebrating every small step

Hi, I'm Elizabeth, I'm a teacher, and every day I go to work feeling good is a good day.

I joined during the summer. I have been trying to get back my figure and vitality since having a hysterectomy in 2004. I had no serious complications (no repairs) but exercising was painful, and so here I am, out of shape and carrying 10 more pounds than I did before the surgery.

Since joining this website, I have been up and down, but mostly up, and given the stress of starting the new school year, that's something to celebrate.

Any other teachers out there?

Iced or hot herb tea at night has been a great help. Being focused on a motivation to stay mentally sharp the next day helps.

We did not have today off. Sunday nights are often a trigger.
