Wednesday's Quitters - Quitter of the Day = ROCK!

Bonjour mon amis!  My ears were burning, and it wasn't from the smell of crepes, so I found an internet cafe and look what I found!  Thanks for all of your kind wishes.  I love being a quitter!  Paris is beautiful!  There are chalets de Noel all along the Champs E'lysee selling everything from sausages to crepes, to ties, to toys, to you name it!  Its a shopping paradise for Parisiens to get ready for Christmas.  And EVERY place is non-smoking here, its wonderful!  The cafes, the bars, the restaurants, all smoke free.  Even my hotel is smoke free.  I've been to Sacre Couer, Arc De Triomphe, Tour Eiffel, Musee Marmotten et Monet, Les Tuilleries, Place de la Concorde, Place de la Vendome, Chateaux St. Vincennes, and the Louvre so far!  Think I've seen most of Paris in 3 days!  I am off to Amsterdam tomorrow.  Will catch up with everybody later!  Thanks again for selecting me as Quitter of the Day!

S.O.S

Lil, just checking to see how things are going.  Haven't heard from you in a few days, so I'm assuming that no news is good news!  I thought of you at dinner last night.  I sat next to two folks from Belfast.  They are executives with the Irish Football Association.  We chatted a bit about travelling, Ireland, and why you only order steak tartare if you know what it is and appreciate eating raw steak ground into hamburger!  LOL!  Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I'm hoping that things are still smoke free and that you are doing well!  I can still hop the North Sea and come help you if needed.  But only until Saturday!  Let me know!

I am new here.

Pet, congratulations on surviving Day 1!  Looks like you know that alcohol is your trigger, and once you have drinking 100% under control, not smoking will be a piece of cake.  You really need a good reward system, expecially to replace that cocktail and glass of wine you are so used to drinking every day.  Just make sure the reward doesn't make you want to smoke!  LOL!  So glad to have you back!

this week's train ride goes to............

I remember visiting a crystal cathedral in Colorado Springs when I was going to Philmont Scout Ranch.  I would love to visit it again.  Seeing it in December would be beautiful, especially if there is a light layer of snow on the ground.
