Jeff, one of my favorite rewards is just taking a long walk and smell the outside without cigarette smoke! As for a physical reward, is there anything you have been putting off buying? Its funny, when I was a smoker, I had no problems spending $50 or more at a time on a carton of cigarettes. But if a cabinet door was loose in the kitchen and would cost $20 to fix, I would put off fixing the cabinet door. Its how our mind thinks. We need to have the $$$ to buy cigs but we put other things on the side burner. I like the spa idea, even if you both just a facial or something. A drive like Mr Q said is nice, especially since the car won't smell like cig smoke when you are driving! Being a week quit, you might even do something like hiring a cleaning service/maid service to clean your house and get rid of all of the cigarette musty smells and soot on your windows, tv screens, etc. That would be a nice treat to get your house used to being smoke free! Let us know what you decide to do!

Leone, welcome back. Sparky gave you some good advice. I'm sorry to hear that you started smoking again, but I'm happy that you realized that being a smoker is not what you want to be. I would go through all the questionaires in "my program" here. You know what you need to do since you did it for 7 months. Now what you need to do is identify how to handle those stressful situations you talked about in your post. Stay away from friends who don't support you. Tell all of your coworkers not to give you a cigarette, even if you are begging on one knee! I would add your stat profile to your postings so you know where you are. I would ask Mr Ed to post your milestones so we can all cheer for you. And if you have a craving for a cigarette, post here and wait for 5 responses. You know the drill. I hope this is your final quit. We're all rooting for you!

Dasiegrl, I'm glad you posted tonight. You've suffered a setback, but you aren't giving up. I encourage you to use the next 14 days to analyze this upcoming quit. Review the questionaires and put together a plan. Place priority on how you will determine how you are going to handle family issues so you don't pick up a cigarette when things get tough. Be sure to set your rewards. Then when January 1 arrives, you'll be all set and ready to go. We're all rooting that this will be your final quit! Let us know what we can do to help you succeed!
