Accomplishments and other Postive Things

Red,
I, too, am starting to see that I can learn to balance relaxing and accomplishing. I'm finally starting to ease up the tiniest bit on some of my self-judgments, which is allowing me to take it easy and enjoy life a little bit more too. I still have a long way to go, but it's a big breath of fresh air for sure! I hope you are experiencing the same thing. I also hope you have a more positive experience at class tonight!

Today has been a good day for relaxing and getting things done.  Yes two ideas in one sentence Relaxing and Accomplishments.  I am becoming more balanced....I have got all my homework done for my class tomorrow and practiced some of the work I will be doing on my project tomorrow night.  I have been able to get my work done and relax today.... This is something new for me.... Life doesn't have to be all work and no play... Without anxiety you can do both. I just had to get rid of the all or nothing attitude and quit worrying about doing everything perfectly... You can let yourself relax and enjoy life a little......I finding working on a project can be fun as long as you let yourself relax with it and don't worry about the little stuff......
I am amazed at what I have learned about myself while working the program here on this site.... It has taken me some time.  It didn't happen over night thats for sure..I just keep learning more and more as time goes on.. This is a very positive thing for me and sticking with the program has been a big accomplishment with many rewards....

Update on new class and driving without my safe person.

I started my new class tonight.

I drove myself there and back without my safe person

It was after dark and I was ok.

No anxiety!  No panic!

It really feels great to have my freedom and life back.

I just had to tell you all about it.

This little light of mine.
I'm gonna let it shine,
Let it shine, Let it shine, Let it shine.

Ashley,

It feels great to be in control of my life again.  I have less anxiety about doing new things and am starting to enjoying my life again.  I am finding the authentic me again.  This is the new and improved version of myself.  I am getting my confidence back.  I am very happy.  This would never have been possible without the help I have received from you, the group, my life partner and the program here and of course my determination to get well.  I want to thank all of you for helping me and being here for me to share in my failures and successes. The next thing I am thinking about doing is driving myself to class today without my safe person.  If not I can always do that next time.
