sunny,
I am sorry to hear you are still having a problem with your BP and that it is causing you problems with your glaucoma.
Please post and let us know what the Dr said when you get in to see him. Please promise me you will take it easy until you get your BP under control.    You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Why are doctors hand writings always so illegible?

Wrestler- so glad to hear you went through with the therapist. I hope you were able to clear a lot up.

Sunny, I'm glad you were able to make it to drs. too. But sorry to hear the bad news. My mom has glucoma too and she puts eye drops in every night.

I agree, always check the prescription. I learnt that when my son was just a baby... the dosage was that of an adult ...my son was only 9 months old. Guess the dr. handwriting was not very legible.

Sunny

Very good point. I have had my prescription changed because they only had the smaller size so I was supposed to take twice as many. Luckily it was not for blood pressure. So I agree, check the prescription.

Update on my appt. today - dr. was sick so appt. rescheduled, however, I had to get a prescription refilled (this is not a new prescription and is one I've taken for several yrs.) and noticed the instructions on amount and time of day was different.  So called the pharmacy and they say it is on their records as such.  So I called the doctor's office to speak with her nurse re: what it says on my file.  Haven't received an answer yet.  Well at least my instructions from dr's. office are for less use than the pharmacy's instructions, so I figure I'm not poisoning myself!  However, I certainly want this cleared up a.s.a.p.
Thought I'd write about it here so others will be careful reading their prescriptions too.

Yeah Wrestler and Sunny!
You both made it through your appointments.  As frustrating as it can be to go through them (and to get lousy news, Sunny), there is always that silver lining that you are getting help and that it will make things easier in the long run.
Wrestler: it is terrific that your wife is so supportive.  Give her some extra hugs for that! :-)
Sunny: Good luck with your BP appointment tomorrow.  No matter what the news is, you know that the Dr. is there to help you and you'll find ways to manage.

Wrestler:  thanks for the update for us all and sounds good that you have that option open to you.

My appt. today has some bad news.  Because of high BP my glaucoma is bad again.  I had laser surgery a few yrs. back and the eye pressures were great for a few yrs. No meds. needed.  Now, have to take drops again for 6 wks. then back at the dr.'s to check the pressures again.  He thinks once the BP goes down, it should be o.k.  I started glaucoma in my late 40's, inherited from my mom.  Anyway, did a bit of shopping, but tired and BP over 200 again when I got home. phooey.   Tomorrow is appt. with BP doctor to figure out how things are going.

Lucid Dream:  will be thinking of something good for afterwards and will concentrate on that. good idea.  When I flew last yr. I did positive thinking about all the fun I was going to have once I got there, and that worked for me.  Never thought about it for dr's. office.

D:  I like reading and am in the middle of a great book, so will be bringing it.  If I can get in right away, I feel so much better than sitting waiting for half an hour or more with anticipatory anxiety.

thanks for the tips everyone.

Thanks, everyone.
My session with my therapist went in many directions. A lot of it was the 3 things that started my recent OCD/Anxiety/Panic situation. One being the 1-year anniversary of my Father dying and the unveiling of his headstone, two being the situation with the nasty boss and company I left in August, and three being the fight with my sister where she and her husband basically demonized our deceased Father.

We also talked about other things and about what I can do to succeed in limiting any of the various anxiety stages I experience.

Before 1996 (when I first started going to this therapist) I could hardly talk about anything. Eight years later I met my wife and am happier than I have ever been. The fact that I went more than 3 years without a session amazes me, but also is not a huge surprise since I have such great support in my wife.

I don't plan on going back to see her for at least a while because my insurance does not cover it. But it is good to know that I have that option. She is very kind and has always left the door open for sessions. She is nearly an hour away from my work. I had to jump through hoops to get the time off to go to this appointment.

Anyway, time for some chamomile tea. Very good before bed time. I will write more about my session soon. I had a little anxiety tonight because I had shortness of breath, but I think it is just indigestion. I know I am fine because I did the bike for 25 minutes tonight. But the shortness of breath scares me even though I know what it's from. I also might be having a little anxiety because of all the things I talked about during my session.

Thanks for all the support.

Do you have a walk man or disk man you can take? I see other people do that. I can't read cause I can't concentrate. Thank you for the measurements. Maybe Red can tell you how to crop with a PC, like I said I am Mac.

Nice picture still.

Davit.
