My oncologist was so proud of me today when I told her today is day 5 of my quit! She yelled at me last week that I couldn't stop taking Coumadin until I stopped smoking. It worked! Thanks for all for your support! I'm looking forward to saying I'm one week smoke free on Wednesday!

Lots of advice for you on this post.....just a tad more......keep posting to help others, and it will help you too. I saw a reply from you elsewhere trying to reach out to someone, even as a new quitter. That is so great! Do stay and do this, the rewards are wonderful.

Well, its 10:32 pm and I haven't had many cravings today. I found out about a "life coach" at work who is available for those who want to stop smoking, lose weight, get more active, etc. I spoke with Jeff about 45 minutes today, told him about this online group. He has never smoked (his speciality is physical activity and weight loss), but he was very supportive of this SSC group. He said that if I have an urge that I should hop on the treadmill in the basement or take the dog for a walk. Good ways to combine physical activity with stopping smoking. I go back to see my doctor next Monday. I cannot wait to tell her that I have been smoke free for 6 days.
Thanks to all for their stories with Chantix and Coumadin. I'm gonna stay off the chantix for now, maybe look into gum or patches if the cravings get strong. I cannot wait to have numbers of days smoke free, $$$ saved, hours of my life gained, etc. like so many of you!!!
