I just got back from Mexico and had such a good time!! I have made a promise to myself that I will travel more. So, half of my smoking money is going into a travel fund. The other half will be used for small daily, weekly and monthly rewards....specialty coffees, books, spa treatments ;) etc...

I'm actually saving up for a small motor boat so I've set a weekly auto transfer on my chequing account into my savings the amount of money I estimate I spent on smokes per week. Should be cool to watch it grow!

You're right, it is nice to see it grow! You don't really pay much attention to how much you're spending until you aren't spending it any more.
For my first week reward, I bought a little potted plant at the grocery store for 2 bucks. I have it sitting on my kitchen counter, and it reminds me of my quit, and of the fresh air that it (as well as us!) needs to survive. Tonight hubby and I are going out for dinner, but it's on a gift certificate from Christmas so it won't cost anything (not sure if I can count this as a reward or not, but I think I will!!).

I just feel compelled to join this group of dog lovers. :) I like New Years No Nics but I'm up for any of them.
