I'm still here, too. And I hear you guys on the over eating. I've got melba toast and black licorice at my desk, and green tea to drink. Trying to stay away from the really high calorie/fat treats. Good Morning :) I'm still here...and I hear you 'one more try'...I am eating way too much. So much so that my tummy hurts sometimes. I am trying to be conscious of what I put in my mouth now. Gotta get back to work...hope everyone has an excellent smoke free day :) Joy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/2/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 15 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 750 Amount Saved: $345.00 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 17 Mins: 59 Seconds: 49

I'm still here too. I was just cruising around through some of the other forums. Everybody's doing great on their quit meters. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/3/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 280 Amount Saved: $106.40 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 12 Mins: 35 Seconds: 56

last year was so,so bad financially. never again do i want a year like that. the more i worried about money, the more i smoked. that's the main reason for giving up this year. i either want to use the money i save to pay off the debts or book flights to florida. i have the villa booked but the flights are quite expensive. plus, my eldest turns 16 next year and it could be the last family holiday. while i decide, i'll just sit back and watch it grow. tina My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/2/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 280 Amount Saved: 56.00 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 4 Mins: 53 Seconds: 30

I've been to DR 3 times and this will be my second trip to Cuba. I didn't go anywhere the year before last and swore I'd never put in another entire New Brunswick winter without a break again! I think I actually had that seasonal malady you hear about. I've never felt so depressed in the winter before. I have never been to Mexico or the Caribbean. We are going to the Dominican Republic in April. It will be my first time out of the country. I'm sure I will appreciate the fact that I am a non-smoker during the 7 hour flight :) Joy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/2/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 700 Amount Saved: $322.00 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 15 Mins: 21 Seconds: 15

I've never been to Mexico, myself. Do you like it? Have you been to the Caribbean and can you compare the two? That's actually one of the reasons I chose to quit now. We're off to Cuba at the end of February and I refuse to go on one more trip where I'm scrambling to get that last smoke in before going through airport security and then trying to juggle luggage at arrival so that I can have that first smoke off the airplane. Also, none of the friends we're traveling with smoke and I just don't want to be the outcast anymore!
