Bobbi,, just a little piece of advice re the patch not sticking properly.. I rubbed the area with a little bit of rubbing alcohol, let it dry completely and then put the patch on. It stuck on really well :) Jean My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 42 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,056 Amount Saved: $430.5 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 18 Mins: 1 Seconds: 55

Hi mark, Read the posts about positive thinking and it will not be as hard. Motivation, and only that, is THE key to succes. Good luck. Hey Mark, Bobbi here, well how are you doing? I sure hope ok, I steped down from the 21 to the 14 last Tues. now today Tues. is my 2nd week on the 14 then next Tues. will go to the 7 mg. each time is so scarey have a couple bad days then gets ok, when I first put one on it does itch, but in awhile gets ok I put mine on my back, shoulder blade area and up, Phil said he put his on his back side I haven't tried that, but may work, my worst problem is them not wanting to stick especially since it has gotten warm weather. I sure hope all is good with you. Keep in touch will be your support buddie if you want? Mark, hang in there. It gets easier, barley but ever so slightly! I also hate the patch, but its the onyl thing thats ever made quitting even seem like a possibility.Think of a nice reward and work hard towards it. Hi Mark, I hope you're hanging in there ok. I have to say that I have been reading a lot since this. Just very easy to read books, nothing heavy but it does take me away for a few hours. It's a great distraction. Take care misha My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 6 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 172 Amount Saved: $70.5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 17 Mins: 28 Seconds: 38

Mark, Give you brain a rest from thinking about it. Rent a movie....or get involved in a book. It gives you a rest and lets you escape for a couple of hours. "Mental" escaping is a great way to pass the first three hard days. Hi Mark, Hang in there, okay? You CAN win out over this addiction. Drink lots and lots of water....It helps with the cravings and cleans your system; Have hard candy, gum, sunflower seeds, toothpics, etc. for that hand to mouth thing; avoid trigger....those places or things that you associate with smoking. If you can't avoid a trigger, change it up or rearrange it. My computer was a major trigger for me, I could avoid it so I rearraged the things on my desk, sat a candy jar out, a candle, and pics of loved ones...things like that. When a crave hits, get up and move around if even for a couple of minutes. That's so important....Get something to drink, take a walk, clean something, etc. Post and read a lot here on the site when the cravings hit hard. Come here rather than lighting up. We're here for you anytime you need us. Stay Strong....You CAN do this, Tutti My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 75 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,390 Amount Saved: $269.25 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 23 Mins: 30 Seconds: 36
