Hey Mark! Keep working at it. Yes, do the program, it is very helpful and read read read all you can! It really does help. MOst people feel a bit woozy or lightheaded the fisrt couple of days, that will pass, some people use water, gum, candy or sucking on a straw to help with the cravings - whatever works for you! Try to stay positive, find things to keep you busy and it will pass quickly! It reall doesn't have to be hard - think about that - it is hard if you make it so! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 60 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,500 Amount Saved: $633 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 5 Mins: 55 Seconds: 24

One way to look at withdrawal in a positive light - it is your bodies way of healing from the damaging smoke, drug (yes nicotine is a drug) and chemicals you've been putting into it. Check out some new posts by Mercy as well as some from me and older ones with info about nicotine addiction, ingredients in cigs and tobacco company info. They will probably be enlightening and give you a new perspective. Whatever you do, hang in there and DO NOT SMOKE!
