My first few days were like this and boy, did my mind play tricks on me...coming up with reasons as to why I WANTED to smoke, not quit. Hang on though...it passes, honestly. Pick up a book, colour, clean out that closet you've ignored forever. Do something productive or mind occupying.
I became a little depressed with my jaw being sore from gum...so I switched to sugar-free mints.
Just remember to take deep breaths, it does get easier!
