Feeling so Depressed!!

18 years ago 0 45 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I am now feeling so not myself. I constantly want to cry. I feel achy and very angry. I can't run and have a smoke when I normally go have one and it is not an option anymore. Anyone else go through this. I can't keep eating chocolates, they are sickening to me now and my jaw hurts from chewing gum. I am just so SAD. I guess I really need to just commit to the Bed and remote. LOL. I have already watched a movie since I came home. The cravings are going away, Now I just feeling Sad. I don't even have interest in cigarettes now, I have no interest in nothing. Guess I just have to go through what I am going through and hopefully it won't be too long. I don't want to keep yelling at me kids.LOL My sleeping has been really bad, My chantix side affect of dreams turned into nightmares last night. I had a dream I was going out of my Mind. It was awful. Thanks Guys,What a Great feeling to hear I am not alone. I decided to make today a better today when I went to bed last night. And I am doing well. I have some energy back to clean house. I put on my favorite CD and just started room by room. I usually take a cig break but instead I am just taking a quiet break here on the computer. Wow, you get so much more done when your not running for a smoke all the time. LOL. Still feeling a little dizzy here and there. Anyone have that still on day 5? It seems to be late morning to afternoon then it subsides. Hope you all are having a great day. My first few days were like this and boy, did my mind play tricks on me...coming up with reasons as to why I WANTED to smoke, not quit. Hang on though...it passes, honestly. Pick up a book, colour, clean out that closet you've ignored forever. Do something productive or mind occupying. I became a little depressed with my jaw being sore from gum...so I switched to sugar-free mints. Just remember to take deep breaths, it does get easier! *hugs* Trace My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 141 Amount Saved: $63 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 2 Seconds: 23

NORMAL for a good quit. hunker down and ride it out. It will most certainly pass. Just watch out - Ol Nic loves to use this as a foot in the door. HI Time....Hope you are okay........Maybe you will get all the phases of the quit over in one day! Remember that quitting can be like the grieving process...we go through periods of sadness, depression and anger amongst other emotions. (Thank goodness there are good days too!) My remote control and my bed became my new best friends during the first 3 weeks of my quit....In fact, I still love them after a hard day at work! Take care....one day at a time. Hi Time - Glad you are getting your energy back....My quit was a little different because I used patches so I always felt a little dizzy after I put one on. I know I recommended the remote and bed (Which is still by far my very favourite tool!!) However, that was after a day of work. On the weekends, I really had to make an effort to get out of the house (go to mall, visit a friend, anything) and to get some exercise. However, I really wish I had been one of the "housecleaning" quitters. Some people had so much energy that their house was spotless....I REALLY envied them........still waiting for that part of my quit to kick in....
