The funny thing is that I never smoked out in public and never craved it. Mine were always on schedule. Before hosuework, after housework, before I picked hte kids up from the bus, when I got home from the bus stop, on the phone, after an arguement or during one, before bedtime, etc.
I rationed my smokes and before I quit for the very 1st time, I would smoke no more than 8 per day. That was my limit and I would smoke my last one before I called it a night--again, I have this schedule OCD thing going on w/ me.
BUT then once I quit for good, the 4th time (LOL!!), my triggers would set off the crave and then I would get antsy over wanting one. Then I would distract myself, and remove myself from the situation.
I am slowly learning to deal w/ the triggers properly and rationally w/o the crippling effect of smokes =)
