DAY 6

Thanks everyone!!!! For anyone reading this that is just beginning their quit..........they may sound like a lot of symptoms but it sure is doable and managable compared to chemo or radiation etc. I also forgot to mention that I have brain fog......LOL.....I forget sometimes what I was going to say and sometimes find myself a little spacey. I meant to also mention the nast headaches which I had but now are gone...........so they do go away......LOL and due to brain fog I wrote that I was going to try the R.I.C.E. diet today...........helllllloooooo brain!!!!. That's what you do when you hurt yourself, you know R is for rest, I is for Ice etc......brain not functioning. I meant I was going to try the B.R.A.T. diet which may help. It's Bananas, rice, apple sauce, toast, to help with the diarreha. Gotta run, off for the rest of the day,may have time to be back tonight, have a good one!!! had enough My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/19/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 6 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 228 Amount Saved: $45 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 15 Mins: 13 Seconds: 47

I'm proud, real proud of myself that I have gotten this far without slipping. It must be because I really WANT to quit. I thought I really wanted to quit in the past attempts but now looking back, I don't think I really wanted to. I keep thinking what if I had some medical thing come up and was told by my Dr. that I had no choice but to quit. I'm glad I CHOSE to quit and wasn't MADE to quit. I don't think I could handle quitting if someone told me I HAD to.....if that makes sense? I have constant feelings like there is something wrong with me physically. I sweat sooo much it's unbelievable. As I'm sitting here typing the sweat is pouring off my face. I never was a sweater and now BAMMMM!!!! Get me a towel!!! I truely hope that it's all the nasty toxins coming out of my skin in the form of sweat, toxins from alcohol and smoking?? I have severe leg cramps and unfortunately it's in the same leg that I already had vascular surgery on way back in 2000. I know I need to have more surgery done but for now, I'm going to keep walking and hopefully between the walking and not smoking, my circulation will improve. I know of a 39 year old man, where I live who was a little over weight, drank beer like there was no tomorrow and smoked like a chimney who just had his leg amputated from the knee down. He had a blood clot that they couldn't dissolve and he was told it was from his drinking and smoking. That scares the begeezers out of me. I know people experience a lot of good things when they quit, but so far, I can't find any physical symptoms that have been good. I sweat all the time I have diarreha most of the time(sorry for being honest) I have pimples appearing on my chin line I feel myself breathing labour like all the time. I try and do deep breathing but when I do, my chest hurts. I have a constant numbness in my middle finger on my left hand. I have leg cramps and throbbing pain, but no swelling in the leg. I'm tired a lot. I have a sore mouth, no sores in my mouth, it just feels sore and dry. I have to put on chapstick a lot during the day and my skin on the inside of my upper lip is peeling(real Pretty site) I had severe heartburn but now that's finally gone. Unlike most, I have NO appetite. I drink from morning to night, switching between water, tea a
