u have to take the good with the bad, smile with the sad, love what youve got and remember wat you had, always forgive, but never forget, learn from ur mistakes, but never regret, people change, things go wrong, just remember life goes on ditch the cigs! tell your hubby to hide them / lock them up! give yourself some better odds :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/24/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 58 Amount Saved: $23.85 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 13 Mins: 12 Seconds: 5

When I used the patch I used to put one next to my bed along with the scisors and just slap it on when the first alarm went off and I hit the snooze button so that by the time I actually got up, it was working for me.

Stay with us BrickWall. You slipped ... so what? It isn't the end of the world. You haven't thrown it ALL away. What you have done so far has NOT been for nothing. Don't let 5 minutes discount 23 days. Would you be this down on a friend? I don't think you would. I think you would give a friend encouragement. Do the same for yourself ... you deserve it. Thinking about you ... No that is not true, but a lot of people have a hard time getting to sleep or have nightmares or vivid dreams with it on so they choose to take it off at night when they sleep. I do not wear mine to bed. Brick wall, Don't be too hard on yourself. Quitting is not easy. You've experienced a set-back, not a relapse. You don't need to reset your quit meter. Learn from this set-back. You made it through the day, but what made you gave in after that? (Good job on resisting for that long.) Maybe in your situation, having access to cigarettes is a barrier to your quit. Get rid of them, you won't have a choice to keep resisting temptation this way. Also, if you're having trouble sleeping, consult your doctor. You may need to switch to a lower dose to diminish the side effects. Adding gum in combination to the lower dose patch may also recommended by your MD. Keep persevering!
