-thanks for the warm welcomes.
-i peeked around in the rooms and think that this is a tight support group. the length of stay for some members says it all. this site works. i have seen hope, courage, defeat, empathy, and love. So many emotions.-meg

Hi Nikki- hop on for a very interesting ride. Glad to meet you. I have found this site to be of big help. i have found that i don't get half as much support outside of this site. These members who walk before us have actually been in our shoes. with this site we are not alone.-meg32306

shamrock meg here-
i had a smoking dream a couple of days ago. I felt ashamed in my dream, but it was like someone else put the cigs. there and so i just kept on smoking. (three cigs. i recall)
I woke up and had to take a few minutes to clear my thoughts and recall that it was just a dream. I still felt the feelings of being ashamed of cheating on my quit.
I once heard that since out lungs are clearing out that some of the nicotine (smell) comes up and when we are dreaming that our body recognizes this smell and injects the thoughts in our dream.

I love the way I feel today. My skin has a healthy glow. My teeth are not stained as bad. I love hugging kids now that I know I don't have that nasty ashtray smell, the the kids love huggin on me also.
I love the fact that my lungs are healing, that i have more oxygen in my system, my senses are highening and especially the knowledge:
I AM NOT A SLAVE ANYMORE!!!
I AM FREE.

butterfly,
i wear a braclet also, just to remind me of a covenant i made with
myself and this quit. i took my quit as a choice. So far when my mind thinks smoke, i think my choice. i choose not to be a slave.
the one part of me that really hated smokes was the slave part. nicotine is addictive.
butterfly this fight is real, you, me and this group knows this. nicotine addicition is not what you want in your life. looking at your stats tells me this. keep fighting for your freedom butterfly, fight.
