I'm sorry for you that you smoked, but don't be too hard on yourself. You made a mistake and you're back to fix it. That is soo important. You won't use this relapse as a reason to go back to smoking full time.Good for you. Your kids can and will still be proud of you. They are seeing just how hard this addiction is. What a great example that is so that they never start to smoke. Keep at it cpachecobo, you WILL do this again. I have slipped and cannot believe, after almost 5 months of my quit I started playing with fire, one puff here and there, then two weeks ago due to job pressure and other problems I bought a couple of cigs, yes we can buy single cigs in Bolivia. Then it hit me a fight with my wife about her birthday, I did not do enough according to her and I snapped and forgot about my quit I am feeling depressed because my promises to my two kids went down the drain, and with the extra pressure from work, I could not take it Sorry my friends I let down but I am trying one more time My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/29/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

Thank you all for you support. I know it was my choice to start smoking again and does not matter the circumstances around me. This time around I know for sure that I can not have a puff and better find other means to cope with frustration, anger and loneliness. Carlos, go back to all the tools in your Glove Compartment. Have your rewards set up, something to help with the craves....just like in the beginning again. You've got a good solid 5 months of being smoke-free behind you already. Those are STILL cigarettes that you didn't smoke. No more pity party. You can do this! OK, So now you know you're human with THE worst addiction out there! GOOD INFORMATION. I think that one of my biggest problems has been that I think I have some power over this crazy addiction.(And I do as long as I never put it back into my body.)But once I start thinking I can have just one .. and I do have just one ... I have just unleashed the MONSTER that lives inside of me. Awakened only by nicotine. Take away the nicotine and it skulks off somewhere. But I don't believe it goes off and dies.I know that all it takes is ONE PUFF and its right back in power! Take back your power! Colleen

Carlos... You haven't let anyone down but yourself. Get out of that pity pot, pick yourself up, brush yourself up and get back to work! Too much stress at work, fight with the wife, just too hard.... all junkie excuses.. Let them go. You are a quitter and quitters don't smoke. Put it behind you and get back where you belong. You haven't failed unless you quit quitting. That does not appear to be the case here. No one is beating you up here. Remember N.O.P.E. Not One Puff Ever! Chalk this up as experience and lesson learned. Let's see that meter climb again. Hey Carlos! You did it once, so you can do it again. And this time you will be smarter, stronger and will have learned from your mistake. No shame, just fame when you make it this time!
