Welcome!
I'm on chantix also and this is my 10th day smoke free!
Chatix helps tremendously but you still have to work at it.
Do the cigs taste stale or off to you?
I smoked for 30 yrs so i'm really excited about coming this far! I never thought i'd be able to quit and chantix has helped me so much.

Hi!
I'm on chantix also. 18 day's smoke free today.
I find that the chantix is great for the physical cravings but the mental cravings are still up to us to deal with.
Routines are hard to break. In my case 30 yrs of smoking is a heck of a lot of routines that i have to deal with.
If your past the physical cravings than i doubt chantix will help you overcome the mental cravings.

Hi !
I'm jan and I quit smoking 5 day's ago with the help of chantix. I had been a two pack a day smoker up until a few month's ago when i cut back to a pack a day thanks to ohio's new smoking laws. I have smoked for 30 yrs so not smoking for 5 day's is a huge huge deal to me.
chantix is almost like a miracle drug to me. You still have to work at it but the worst of it is handled by the meds.
Anyways~ i'm glad to have found this place and look forward to getting to know you!

Welcome from another newbie to this site!
I haven't had any joint pain or sinus issues since going on chantix but i have had the dreams! Nothing vivid as they say but constant.
It helps that i keep telling myself :
Smoking is not an option!

I take my last pill around 6:30 pm because i work until 6 pm. I'd like to take it earlier but i can't.
I have found with the higher dose i am having problems sleeping at night now.

thank you for asking. It's going good! Much much better than last weekend when i was on the chantix and still smoking. I had no energy at all last week and just wanted to lie around the house. This weekend without smoking is just so much better! My husband still smokes and that isn't even bothering me. By the way~ i think he will be quitting soon. He's made some hints about it!!

Welcome!!
Were you on another smoking board? Your name sounds a lot like one on another board where your not allowed to mention the word Chantix.
I was over there but jumped here when that happened.
Again~ welcome!!
