Thanks all! I think I'm going to like it here!! :) I can't believe I have almost a year (but it's still one day at a time). Years ago, everyone in my family gave up on me quitting but I fooled them and myself!!! I can't wait to explore this website some more, it looks fantastic! I will when I get more time, I've got to go walking right now, one of my stop smoking/don't gain weight thingies. :8o:

Thanks freemom! My way of thinking is it shouldn't matter how you quit as long as the end result is the same. That you no longer smoke that's what's important. It doesn't matter if you do it cold turkey or with chantix or with a NRT. It's that we no longer smoke. So i'm glad i found this board also ! Welcome to you Traveller. Janpo I got curious and found the boards you both were on. Unbelievable! Well, I don't think you'll have that problem here. Personally I don't understand how you can discuss side effects of Chantix without mentioning nicotine withdrawal symptoms, too! As I understand it, here at the SSC we can talk about our experiences with Chantix, side effects and anything related to that, as long as we don't try to promote it and tell others to go out and get it. The mods may be able to clarify. After all, what works for one person may not work for another. All of our quits are individual! So read through posts, look at the workbooks, find what info you like/need and bypass the rest. Just keep those quits! Thanks for the welcome everyone! Yep, I will always take help from anyone, all quitters have to support one another!! I have almost a year and still crave now and then, but I hope to never start again... I don't want to go through that first hell week again! :gasp: I will seek help from all available sources before picking up that first cig and I think everyone should too. :) Yes Jan, I am on that other board that does not allow that topic anymore. Nothing against their decision, but it sure has stifled alot of good discussion.
