I am a Chantix patient

You are exactly right about the first week your going through withdrawal while still smoking. I was so tired by the 4th and 5th day i could hardly stay awake. I felt like a zombie. I had no clue if i was still a smoker or a non-smoker to be. I just didn't feel like me. Since I've quit i just feel so much better even though i do have cravings. Not physical ones~ chantix handles that but mental cravings. 30 yrs of a habit it's hard to break. I have to stop and say to myself sometimes when i reach for my ciggy case automatically (which by the way is thrown out) that i don't smoke anymore. I also like to tell myself that Smoking is NOT an option. Need help with smoker in the house

I quit almost a week ago and my husband still smokes. He is very supportive of me and my quit. For whatever reason it's not bothering me when he smokes. It doesn't make me want a cigarette at all. I am hoping that because i made it he will make the leap also into being smoke free. jan My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 6 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 135 Amount Saved: $30 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 18 Mins: 50 Seconds: 1

5th Day...Why am I??

lavndr The first week your on chantix and smoking you are actually going through withdrawals which can make you feel the way you are feeling now. That first week i was on chantix was worse than when i stopped the cig's all together. I was tired and edgy. Remember Chantix stops the nicotine from going to your brain so even though your smoking you are going through withdrawals. good luck! First post here, using Chantix

Welcome! I am on chantix also and have been smoke free now for 18 days! It's just a miracle to me. I smoked around 2 packs a day for 30 years and never thought i'd be able to stop. chantix gave me the willpower to do it. good luck! On Day 9 with Chantix, trying to quit today.

Welcome!!! I'm also a chantix user and my husband still smokes. Honestly i thought it would make me want to continue smoking but it's doing the opposite. I can smell smoke as soon as i walk into our house and i just hate it now. Hopefully he will quit smoking now that he see's i did it. He's made some remarks about quitting so were off to a good start. It can be done . Good luck!! Praise for Chantex

I'm also a chantix user and have been smoke free now for 5 days! That's after a smoking habit of 30 yrs so this is a big deal for me! I quit after 6 day's on the chantix. Cig's just were tasty stale and nasty to me so i put my last one out on Sunday april 22, 2007 and i haven't had one since!
