Officialy day ten for this old Bear. The urge to smoke is subsiding nicely .I will continue using the patch if for no other reason for the dreams I,me having (I could get arrested for some of them lol)I still have a couple of triggers hanging on (after eating and the guy who rents the basement apt.who remains a smoker)These are the most difficult for me.But on the whole this is a very posative experience for me.My one fingered typing,& spelling skills have improved ???? lol and i,ve met some great people who have supported me on this journey. So for you new people who have started or are thinking about quitting hang in here you can,t go wrong!!!! Bear ;p

Here Here Penitent I second that Emotion.
Don,t even concern yourself with the future disneyfan. Your quit is a minute by minute thing.Like Penitent my quit was a relative easy thing after the first week inspite of my reluctance to quit ???We,re all different as to how we handle our quitting thats what makes us unique. ;)

Hi misha.
I smoked for over 50 years. You don,t want to see another list of the reasons why you should quit do you ??
But here,s an exercise you can try.Write down all the benifits of smoking on a piece of paper and then write down all the benifits of not smoking right beside it then you,ll know why your quitting.
I noticed your not too long into your quit so don,t be to hard on yourself it takes time to heal from any illness and beleive me addiction is an illness. :)

This one has been bothering me for the last couple of weeks so I,m going to toss it out there for some feedback.
I was a cigar smoker.I found a brand that was very mild and I really loved the aroma of them.I have never had problems with cravings even when I quit smoking cigerettes I think this was because I smoked for pleasure and did,nt use tobbaco as a coping tool.
Over the last couple of days I,ve had the desire to light up one these big old lovely cigars.Nothing unbearable but if anything is going to bring me down this is it.
It,s not the need for nicotene because I have worn my patch faithfully from day one.But those big old cigars gave me pleasure and the seed is planted that one won,t hurt me !!
So I need some help with this one before this seed becomes a tree and we need a chainsaw to cut it down !!! :(

Phew I really opened a can of worms here !!! :)I don,t think I was very clear about what I was trying to say but it realy does,nt matter because I have no intention of giving up 50 + days smoke free for a little pleasure.
Yesterday was weird day for me ??? I forgot to put on the patch, would eat anything that came within arms length and kept falling asleep during the day even when I was typing on the computer ????
So fear not my friends the Bear is back to normal today !! ;p
