I need help

I'm here, the worst is over. Made a cup of coffee. Doing a whole lot better now, this hit me like a truck on a chicken. Deep breathing. Rubbing my ears!!! How funny is that!!! Can't walk, I'd walk right to the convenience store and buy killers. Gonna sit right here, drink coffee and read, just like on day 1. Thanks guys, you're lifesavers!!!! I need help

OK,it's all gone now. Dear Lord, that hit me like a freight train, I really almost completely lost my quit. Thank you so much everyone for helping me out through this, you are all just the best people in the whole world. Especially MomMom, who talked me through this without realizing I'm of the male persuasion. Hard to tell on the net, despite my dashing good looks :p Thanks, MomMom, and I'll take that hug just the same. I hope I can return the favor, with interest, one of these days. Who are the Febuary 07 Quitters?

Cool. Made it to my 30. This just keeps getting better. I'm starting to really like the non-smoking me. Having a heck of a time sleeping, though. Who are the Febuary 07 Quitters?

Hi Changing, Hi Whynot-- Glad to see you here. I'm starting to get some sleep again, I was a walking zombie for a couple of days there. You guys are doing terrific, I'm glad you're still doing it, I'm right behind you :) Guess we're entering -- what is it called No Man's Land? or something like that. Sounds like a fun adventure to me, I'm glad to have some companionship. Who are the Febuary 07 Quitters?

Hi guys, Mini-milestone: Yesterday was one of my weekday days off. I'm home by myself, usually nothing pressing to do, kids at school, partner at work. Ever since I quit, those have been killer days for me, and I've only hung on by the skin on my teeth and staying here and reading all day. Well, yesterday I went wild. Hopped in the car with the dog, took a ride, went places -- wanted to smoke a couple of times, but not much, more of a passing desire than a crave, and I wasn't even tempted once to pop in a convenience store and buy a pack. I just have to make sure I don't think that it's so easy that I slip. I am not going to lose this quit, not now. It's the longest I've ever quit in my life. I love it. Who are the Febuary 07 Quitters?

Hi, rtchick, good to hear from you. I was just looking back at the list Whynot put together, and wondering how everyone was doing. To reward myself for 30 days of freedom, I bought a new pair of motorcycle boots which arrived yesterday. I'm psyched, the weather is good today, I'm gonna go out on the bike this afternoon and knock down a couple more triggers. I'm on a roll right now, I'm going to go with it while I've got it. I may have to hunker down again later, I've got some tough stuff coming up and I want to have as many successes under my belt as possible. April begins tomorrow. Spring is just starting here. My first smoke-free spring in over 30 years. Can I tell you guys how wonderful it smells? Keep it up, everyone!!! Rats. Left my gum at home. Chewing pencils all morning. Otherwise, all is good. Who are the Febuary 07 Quitters?

Tutti, thanks for the humor! This stuff sure takes it! I took the bike out last weekend, had a blast. Normally, one of the things I would do would be to stop on a pretty hillside, park the bike, light up and enjoy the view. Still stopped on the hillside, still enjoyed the view, skipped the smoke. Kaboom! Another trigger down! Onemoretime: Keep plugging away, you maybe just run into triggers unconsciously. That's happened to me a couple of times, when I'm all of a sudden in the middle of a nasty crave, and wondering "where the heck did that come from??" Then I think back, and usually I can find a smoking trigger that I wasn't aware of. The more I make them conscious and prepare for how to deal with them, the easier it gets, for me at least. Hang tough, you're doing great!!!
