One whole week, but im starting to crave

Hi Rainie, yes i do have it on my mind a bit now, the first few days were fine but now ive reached the 7 day mark i just fancy one, im at home with my son today as hes been up all night with a bug so ive cleaned all the house and really caught up, at work some smoke near me but ive not been tempted. I think i just want to be selfish and think, well...if ive quit smoking what can i have now, if i was loaded i would go up town and have a massive spending spree :p

One whole week, but im starting to crave

Hi Angelcapp & Drose, thanx for replying, oh Drose did you have a fag? But dont worry i was that close to one too, i think i just couldnt be bothered to go out and get some, but in a way thats good. You still went 8 days and will do that again. Sometimes i sit here and think, i really want one, why cant i have one, i enjoyed smoking so why have i quit, then i have to quickly change what im thinking, i personally think once you can control the nic cravings its about 75% mind from then on, i can go a few good hrs without thinking of a fag then bang im constantly thinking of one, i just dont want to undo what i have done, i think this site is fab, coz we are all in the same boat :p

Support trying to help as much as possible

Hi Frankie, i know how hes feeling, it is very normal, if he is really craving perhaps he can go doctors and get some NRT, this may help with the nicotine withdrawels. I have had headaches, sleepless nights and been bit snappy too, its fab you are trying to help him but i agree with the healerwithin, he needs to do it for himself too. But keep going with it, 3 weeks is really good, get him to come on here, it really helps, Donna x x

Im doing everything and im still gaining!

Hi just some info that might help, i swear by the cross trainer, i used at the gym and i have now bought one for home, even if you only do 10 minutes to start off with you will eventually do around 30 minutes 3 times a week, not every day as you will get bored. I noticed the weight drop off me after 6 weeks of using this at the gym and i love it, its very smooth on your joints, it gets your legs, bum, hips and waist down. If you think you cant afford one, save the money from not smoking. Ive bought the reebok series 3, its a new one and its lovely, it tells you all the calories etc, the usual stuff but also you have a gradiant where you can work harder etc. I bought it for 270, but i knew that would be my treat for quitting smoking. I do advise if your going to by a x trainer try get a descent one as the cheap ones really are not that comfortable, as they are flimsy and rock about a bit :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/7/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 211 Amount Saved: 50 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 18 Mins: 45 Seconds: 49
